A consumer's nightmare... Listed drugs will not be covered by this company, particularly specialty drugs. That pharmacy is just as bad as Well Care. Constant calls and every time you either cannot understand what they are saying, or the story changes daily. Stay away from these people.

They send me all these letters in the mail stating I can earn a gift card after my annual physical visit, although I do that anyway. But as soon as I call to claim the reward, they state I'm not in the program. So why do they keep sending me these promises? I just don't get it.

Same old story... The only way to get anything done with this company is to file complaints about the ridiculous way customer service treats your concerns. And yet, this company refuses to change the way they do things. Why does the government not step in and help the consumer? How many complaints does it take? It shouldn't be allowed to do business.

The worst customer service. No one speaks English; they promise to help you and not transfer you, but their word means nothing. Thelma, Maria, Oshella—they all get paid to put people on hold.

This company is inexpensive, but as the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." The customer service is the worst! Every time your prescription is changed or transferred, it's not approved, and you have to struggle with their outsourced "customer service" to get it cleared up. That involves long times on hold, constantly having to repeat answers because they don't understand, going over general information repeatedly, being transferred to different departments several times, and holding even more because they do not know what they are doing.
They also call and/or send mail daily trying to interfere with your health care. Their website is inadequate. You can't accomplish anything on it. They're inexpensive or free because nobody would pay for this inferior service!

What kind of a health insurance company doesn't cover insulin? I will tell you, Wellcare should be known as Doesn't Care. What a sad excuse for a Medicare Part A company. As worthless as this company is, you may as well not have a Part A plan at all.

Seems like I am having to pay for more things than with my last insurance, which was included! Oh, why did I change? It could have been because of the fast-talking WellCare salespeople. Not a happy customer!

Worst experience of my life. My health worsened due to their dishonesty and lack of follow-through. There is zero quality control. They disregarded me. Stay away. You spend so much time trying to get on the phone.

United Healthcare is much better than this plan. I've been doing this for 15 years. The absolute only plus with WellCare is that you can buy gas for your vehicle. WellCare agents misinformed me several times about items like hygiene products, housewares, protein powder, and spoons. The only thing it covered was spoons, and then they asked me for $100 I don't have. And it's taking $175 out of my paycheck. So we're done now. Thanks and good luck.

I'd like to thank you for being exceptionally poor in your field. You frustrated me to the point that I fortunately contacted United Healthcare, who will cover all my medication, provide service in English, and give me a card to spend on groceries or other expenses. This company was so challenging to deal with that it drove me to find another insurance company that is more helpful. It is also pleasant to speak with someone fluent in English rather than dealing with the difficulty of interpreting the words you attempt to convey.

I got the Medicare Advantage Plan in Washington State. We could not contact customer service at all because the website glitches and says our password is invalid every time. Then the phones go to a robot that repeatedly tells you to press one for yes, 2 for no, then asks for you to put numbers in for date of birth, member number, etc. Robot then says it doesn’t recognize your entries, and says let’s try this again. This foolishness gets no where and often disconnects you. If you ever get a person they will ask all the same again. They barely speak English, they are overseas. They don’t understand you and you don’t understand them. By the time my son saw his dentist the plan sent a North Pole Santa size stack of correspondence which amounted to a cancellation because Washington no longer permitted the plan! Every Healthcare Organization Must Be Held Strictly liable 4 $$ Fines 4 each Patient Customer who’s result of blocked by non functioning bad websites & bad phone systems either obtaining medical services or using coverage. Robotic Answering Systems must be replaced by 24hr Employees Taking & Making Customer Calls, and Employing Trained Professionals. Limit the number of times customers are required to enter or talk to AI. Every healthcare phone system should start by giving the option for disabled pushers to press zero and bypass to live agents.

I have been with WellCare for years and I would give them a D grade for many reasons. Recently, I broke my foot and spent over 8 hours on several calls trying to secure a wheelchair, walker, or something to help me get around. I had a prescription from the doctor, but I never received anything. I had to borrow a wheelchair and then buy a walker. This was very stressful, especially since I am the caregiver for my husband.
Additionally, there is way too much mail and paperwork every week! Even the new calendar requires a magnifying glass to read. They should remember that the people they are serving are not in their 20s, 30s, or 40s, unlike the people who are designing the system.

Do not use this company. Despite being current and meeting all requirements, I was dropped because they seem incapable of maintaining their records. Through no fault of my own, I currently have no insurance and have had to refuse prescriptions and delay medical appointments. After a deposit in the Healthy Benefits account, the funds were removed and apparently cannot be redeposited.
I've spent hours on the phone getting nowhere. Calls promised from departments that supposedly could help were never received. I pity any individual who may experience problems with them who has cognitive issues. There is no concern. Look elsewhere. I'm switching to Humana with no issues. All of the information that Wellcare claimed was missing was readily available. Better coverage with Humana also.
