Do not use this company if you want to get paid for you damages. During a hurricane, I had 5 trees uproot and land on my home. Three of those trees broke though my roof and caused ceiling collapse in multiple rooms. After the adjuster came out, he only stay less than 1 hour. The initial estimate for the roof damage was less than $1,800. It has been over three months of trying to info the company that the initial adjuster did poorly and not document the damages correctly. Despite showing damages on all sides of the roof (both hole on all sides and missing shingles everywhere), they are still not paying for a new roof.

Appalling service. No humanity or willing to retain you as a customer. They do not care if you have been a customer for years. They will find any excuse not to keep you as a customer if you live in Louisiana. Will be going to a company that respects its customers.

Signed up with this company thru john galt ins co. Paid my premium in full prior to the issuance of the policy. The effective date of 10-31-2021.. took my prior insurance paperwork to the local agency/agent he copied same. I requested a policy from the corporate office and it was sent to me. Today Dec 11 the company/agent has requested the paperwork from the previous carries..already shredded I notified the agent..This company/agents appear to be not only behind, but not organized as to the business workflow. I was told by a supervisor, should I decide to switch companies..there are no fees attached by Lighthouse for switching companies..no need to think about my next step...by the way..customer service is non-available on weekends except for CLaims..

Like most of us...If I could give 0 stars I WOULD!! Customer service was the worse. I have called over 15 times within the last 3 weeks trying to get an update on my case from the Desk Adjuster. There was no communication between agents. The Field Adjuster was very helpful, but he only can do so much. The Desk Adjuster was very nonchalant in saying he didn't have time to review my case.. Maybe next week. Like I haven't been waiting for 2 months already. I wouldn't recommend this company.

This company is garbage. Actually garbage is probably more useful than this company and you can tell by the reviews they get. They will more than likely give you the cheapest premium out of anyone which is nice as first. Then they will execute an agreement with you and then months later tack on more money to your premium. Bait and switch 101. The way they got me on this was with their new "replacement cost estimate" which they estimate your home value and can increase your premium based off their estimate. My home was appraised by a professional for $230k and their replacement cost estimate was $300,000. Tell me how they got that number. Long story short this company has no integrity and can't be trusted. Hopefully this saves someone from the headache I'm going through. End rant.

Although I agree with you on most of your post, there is one thing that I think I can explain. An appraisal is different that replacement cost. Replacement cost is what it would cost to build the home from the ground up. Appraisal is how much the home would sell for. There is a big difference a lot of times.

Like most if I could give them a negative star I would . They are the worse company I have ever dealt with. They never sent our mortgage company a bill. They then sent us mail and we thought it was a copy of what is being sent to mortgage to pay. They now say our insurance is lapsed. To give us back our insurance with no lapse they want our roof checked but the picture they are going by is a year old the one they took before they issued the policy. A year later you are saying you have an issue with the roof. Even VA had no issue with our roof. Had it rechecked sent them the report now they say we are to late they will not give us back our insurance with out writing another policy and charge more money. This company is a joke. They screw up and then blame the client. I will be contacting the BBB and any one that will listen I will be telling about this company. DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY.

The worst customer service. They hide behind the Po Box and have no phone numbers and when the problems come they are not there. This is a private company and they act like it. This is the last company I would ever use.
If I could give 0 stars I WOULD!! Customer service was the worse. There was no communication between agents. I had to call, fax, and/or email at least 20 times trying to resolve my homeowners insurance issues and still did not get it resolved. One person would say one thing. The next person would say no , we don't do that. The next person would say I don't know. One person told me that they were busy and my case had gotten lost in the shuffle. And said this on a recorded line with my bank representative listening. They could not find paperwork that I sent in and had no records of it multiple times. One of the worst companies that I've EVER worked with in my entire life. After going back and forth for at least a month, I finally just requested a refund of my deposit. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company. If it wasn't for my mortgage company coming to my rescue my house would have gone uninsured in the middle of hurricane season!! I repeat DO NOT use this company. New homeowners have enough stress without having to worry about if their home is covered or not. I will be contacting the BBB and looking into filing a lawsuit

If I could give a negative zero I would I could write a book about this company on how they trying to black ball my family Highly pissed . here it is its been a month going on two. Very disappointed in the service so far. Submitted a claim after a tornado came through our neighbor and the inspector won’t come for 5 days! Everyone in my neighborhood I spoke to said their insurance inspector came and went within 2 days. Hopefully, things will go faster after the inspection but I’m not optimistic. I don’t know if the holdup is with Lighthouse or Coastline Insurance but I will find out.

I just received a notice of nonrenewal. We have only been with them for 10 months, we had NO damage from Florence, NO claim, I don't even think this is an insurance company, they got our money and drop us. What in the world???

Lighthouse has been the absolute WORSE company to deal with. I live in NC and was badly damaged by hurricane Florence. The adjuster they sent out lost all of our photos and info and had to come back putting us even farther behind. After his report they didn't want to do pretty much anything! We needed a whole new roof and lost 1 side of our house completely! Not to mention the damage to the inside! My husband and I had to hire a public adjuster to get even 1 dime from them. We are now on our fourth desk adjuster because the can't seem to keep anyone or they just like to play musical adjuster with their clients. We are 6 months out from when Flo hit and I'm still living in studs. I finally have contractors lined up to do work but can't get a single person to answer the phones or call me back so we can move out and get the home repaired! Our personal insurance agent has been so appalled with how we and other have been treated that she now refuse to write any policies for them. Do not walk but run screaming for you life from this company!
