I have never had worse experience. Dealing with them was worse than the accident itself. All they cared about was not paying out money. Then on top of it they wrote the report wrong and now I have to pay for it with super high rates. I tried to get them to correct it but they won't. I may have to look into a lawsuit.

After hail damage claim I was told a siding rider was needed in order to replace all siding. Damage was to two sides of house. Very underhanded the way rider was presented. SECURA obviously didn’t want customers to easily add this rider. Very disappointed and will be looking to take my business to a more customer oriented company.

A adjuster named Tony from Louisville KY came to my home. He said there wasn’t a claim. Which was not a true statement. He was unable to talk to. He wanted me to tear down flashing for them to see. Never heard of anything like this before. Not happy with Secura and will change insurance due to this incident.

I do not like an insurance company telling me that I HAVE to put everyone that lives in my household on my car insurance. I want my 24 year old to pay for her own insurance but Secura says, "Oh no, you have to put her on your policy because she lives there." My 19 year old moved out, but I had to "prove" to Secura that he wasn't living with me anymore. They think they're God. And, EXPENSIVE..

This company is awful. I was in the process of purchasing a new home, and was looking for home owner's insurance. They quoted me the best price for the policy, but said I had to bundle my auto with them to get it. The price for car insurance was better than what I had been paying so, I went ahead and left the company I had been with for 8 years. Secura required 2 months of auto insurance payments up front, so I paid.
We signed the papers on our home. 2 weeks later, we received all of our home and auto policy documents in the mail on a Monday. The very next day, we received a letter indicating that they were canceling our auto policy, and therefore, our homeowner's policy as well! Their reasoning was that my husband's driving record was "too high risk." They had quoted our insurance 1 full month prior. They had taken my money and I had an active policy for nearly 3 weeks.
Now, I had to scramble to find a new home owner's policy, and replace my auto insurance. I called my old auto insurance company, hoping to reinstate my policy since it had only been 3 weeks. They stated that as I had canceled my previous policy, I would have to start all over again with no credit for 8 years of loyalty with them. My rate went up by 40 dollars a month from my original policy with them (which makes a total of 60 dollars more than I was supposed to pay Secura). I then had to come up with a new upfront premium payment.
Secura claimed they would return my money (minus the three weeks that I was "insured" through them) within one week. I was excited to see mail from them 6 days later, thinking it would be my refund. I open the letter to find that they reinstated my policy? WHAT??? A bunch of digging later, we find out that they reinstated it for the purpose of changing the cancelation date. This reinstatement has delayed the release of my check. It'll be at least another week.
I am so disgusted by this company. It seems like a major scam to take 2 months premium and promptly cancel the policy. Lots of smoke and mirrors to issue the refund.
I'm STILL waiting. . .

We had Secura ins for 3 years. The house we lived in was set on fire. Thats right Arson along with 2 other houses that same night. they paid a large claim after trying to short us on the personal property portion. Then a year later I was Hit by an uninsured motorist with no driver license. My car was totaled and I had injuries. neither of the claims were my fault. with the fire we moved numerous times and then sold our house because we didn't feel safe in it. My wife lost her wedding ring as a result of all of the moving. That one was our fault or partly. we were renting a place because we were between houses and finally found a house and secura insured us no problem, then I purchased a new car and with the new purchase there was a premium difference of $107.00 because I pay yearly. they cancelled me for non payment of the 107.00 and then charged me a late fee of 10.00. I only had the policy for 3 months, they should have just not renewed my policy. I would never recommend using Secura.

Our bank informed us that they would no longer handle our insurance so we had to seek out a new company. We did not trust many companies except Secura so after getting so many higher rates we decided to call the main company. We wanted to know if they would help us out, The customer service lady was very knowledgeable and in just a few minutes we continued our coverage and even at a lesser rate. Grade A+ for Secura.

I have been working with SECURA for our home and auto insurance for about 2 years. In the several instances that I have dealt with them they have been awesome! Their customer service and willingness to help resolve issues is top notch. I was recently rear-ended and they took care of everything for me including walking me through all of my options and the steps to resolve the issues that were caused by said accident. In addition to the outstanding customer service their pricing is very fair. I would highly recommend considering SECURA for your insurance needs.
