We relocated from California to Texas because my husband was transferred from California to Austin, Texas. We knew nothing about the area, but from previous experience, a new build is easier to purchase and get into with VA than a used home. The Richmond American Homes builder has HomeAmerican Mortgage Corporation, and supposedly the best way to get us moved out to Texas was for everyone to use this company.

HomeAmerican Mortgage Corporation is terrible; they are located in Colorado. They do not answer their phones. Leave a message, and maybe they will get back to you, and hopefully, you are able to answer. Otherwise, it's an endless series of message swapping.

Their Service Department is terrible about communicating. The website is limited, poorly designed, and essentially useless. They are not BBB rated, and I certainly can understand why.

I can't wait for the day we are either able to sell or refinance to be rid of them.

Do not bother with this company, no matter what incentives or benefits they offer. Run away!

Please read reviews on other sites regarding this company before using. They do the processing for Richmond American Homes. The most horrible experience ever. If I could give them a negative 5 I would. The most unprofessional mortgage company you'll ever deal with. They want to rush you into signing documents out of the normal process. Like signing closing disclosures, and the loan is still in pre-approval. RUN FROM RICHMOND AND HOME AMERICAN.

Love my new home, its exactly what i always wanted. It was an all around pleasant and exciting adventure! Highly recommend them to all my friends and family!
