I used Koalafi to purchase a bedroom set and the approval amount was above the amount l need which was great. Once my furniture was delivered l had the opportunity to speak kindly with Ms. Jamaika. She took her time to explain to me how they offer a early pay out plan with active cash plus and that works for me. She gave me other options as well. Ms Jamaika customer service was very pleasant even when l repeated myself over and over to make sure l understood. Thank you Koalafi for having grate team members with customer care service ❤️

I am back and I have to write a brand new review. I just paid off my laptop early. And obviously I wasn't paying attention!! I just paid $49 as a early payoff fee!!!!!!!!! EARLY PAYOFF FEE. stay away from this company. All payments made on time via ACH. Never late payment. what a insult to your customers to charge them a fee for paying off early. I hope people default on their loans and these people have to file for bankruptcy and go out of business. I wish nothing but losses and default on loans for this company. The worst

Do not use this financial company! Koalafi gives immediate approval. I used the loan for an unexpected car repairs and had no other choice. BIG MISTAKE! The incredibly high interest rates nearly doubled the amount of the loan. I recently decided to do a pay off, just to be done with them. I was charged a higher amount than what was quoted on the payment option! Unbelievable!

This company is a scam. Their interest is ridiculously high. They will convince you to sign up for their "protection plan" but then will still charge you for it after the line of credit is paid off. Then try to claim that the protection plan isn't through them.
SCAM!!!!!

Koalafi is a scam; the interest rates are excessive and not worth it. Just save up and pay for the work out of pocket if possible. They're misleading with the 12-month lease agreement and the 90-day payoff option. They're money-hungry, deceitful, and predatory. Consider using another source and ensure they explain the terms and conditions so you fully understand; don't let them smooth-talk you or disregard your concerns. They double charge and sometimes triple the amount you lease in interest rates.

If I could give Koalafi zero stars and still leave a review, I would. I do not recommend them. I used Koalafi for the purchase of a table from BEL Furniture and everything went well until I finished paying them off in December 2025. On February 3rd, 2026, I checked my bank account and noticed someone had attempted a purchase using Koalafi. I contacted them, and they informed me that someone had made a purchase through BestBuy.com. I requested information about this incident, but nobody was able to assist me. I eventually reset my old Koalafi account and accessed the new lease, only to realize someone had used my details with a different phone number and email address. I notified Koalafi that it wasn't me and they asked for a police report, bank statement, and power of attorney. After submitting the necessary documents, they told me I would receive a callback. A week passed without a response, so I called again, only to be instructed to contact Best Buy customer service for a refund. However, Best Buy's customer service had no records linked to me, making it impossible to access my account. I've communicated to Koalafi that without an order number, nothing can be retrieved. I've been given the runaround for three weeks, and the account is still active under my name, which means it will eventually be sent to a credit bureau and could harm my credit. If you have an option, I suggest not using Koalafi.

If you have a different option, TAKE IT. Koalafi is just another scam company here to keep the poor impoverished. They enjoy taking advantage when you're vulnerable. Oh, and when you "pay off" your loan/lease, you still have to make one more regular payment because it was processed 2-5 days before the due date. When you call to dispute it, they will contradict themselves. "The information on our portal is correct and accurate." "Well, did you call to verify that the information was accurate?"
And the protection plan, you have to cancel that separately. Do they tell you this information beforehand? No, no they do not. So, after you have paid off the loan/lease and you don't know to cancel the protection plan, the plan you get in case you lose your job, you still get charged. When you call to get this reversed, you must send in a bank statement to show you got charged because it's a "different entity."
Work the overtime and just buy the items outright instead of being taken advantage of by this finance company. And when I say taken advantage of, I mean it in the harshest way possible. Bed frame original cost $998, paid in total $2160, mind you, that was paid off 3 months early, forgoing an extra $145 of interest charges. That's more than double the cost. There's no making payments to the principal balance.

Customer service always makes it very complicated for customers to make payments, and they do not work with customers under any circumstances whatsoever. They always try to charge $4.11, and every month they ask the same question regarding the method of payment. If you're paying with the same card since the day you started, why keep asking the same question? And why keep trying to charge four dollars, ten dollars, eight dollars, eleven dollars in fees when you're using the same card that you started with? I am not happy at all. They will not even try to work with you, no matter what. Not even to waive a four-dollar fee that really is not supposed to be charged. Very dissatisfied.

After reading all these reviews I was severely concerned about taking out a lease with koalifi. This was for absolutely no reason because I paid off my lease in two months and they closed my account easily. Absolutely no problems and I didn’t have to pay the outlandish interest percentage. The bad reviews on here are mostly financially illiterate people who don’t know how to read contracts and manage their finances. For people complaining about laying the debit card fee you just need to link your bank account and there’s no fee. Yes you do need to make your final payment a little earlier before your early pay option because it takes a while to process and if it isn’t processed by the time your early pay option passes then it’s considered late. I had a 740 credit score and couldn’t get approved by anyone for my couch so I took the chance on Koalafi and I’m glad I did. I’d gladly use them again. It’s a shame this company suffers because irresponsible people can’t read. If anyone has questions I’ll gladly respond

Too bad they don't have a negative review option, because that's exactly what this company deserves. I paid off my amount of $2,297.00 for the final payment over the phone with my bank information. I came to find out the payment was reversed because, for some apparent reason, they had the wrong last 4 digits of my bank account. How did they get that? I have no idea, the last 4 digits you guys had, I don't even have an account with those last 4 digits. They said if I didn't make a payment for more money plus a debit fee, which came out to $2,600, they said the recording could be reviewed but if they find that their decision is final, they can't guarantee that it won't go to $8,000.00, the full amount, so I paid the $2,600 because I can't trust this company to be honest. I know for absolute certainty that I made the payment with my business account because that's what the loan was for (a transmission). If they do this to 10,000 customers, they will make a fortune. Like I said, it's sad that a company like this would take advantage of people in desperate need for help. It was very deceptive and not nice. I will definitely never recommend this company to my worst enemy. It's a shame. I know that if I would've taken a chance and reviewed the recording, I would get my money back, but like I said, I don't trust the company. There's a lot more to this story, but I can't text all of that. Let's add all this during holidays, unreal. I tried to submit but I need to give a rating. You don't deserve a rating; well, 1 star so I can submit this.

Horrifying interest rates if not paid in full within 90 days. Considering this is for people that need help, I feel this is a terrible option. I will never use this company again. It's a perfect scam to make money off the poor, and it's quite disgusting that this is even legal. We must come together and ban this kind of loan.

310% if you don't make last payment for your interest free payments. The interest free really isn't interest free because you pay about 10% more for the items than if you paid cash. Just don't accidentally miss the last payment to pay them off. $300 dollar last payment WILL turn into $6000 overnight and they won't work with you on it.
