Title: Disappointing Experience – Over 2 Years, Minimal Results
I was with Lexington Law on and off for over 2 years, hoping to see real progress on my credit report. Unfortunately, the experience was a waste of my money and time.
Nine months ago, they were able to remove a 30-day late payment from a closed account that had been paid off and inactive for over 5 years. I thought that was resolved—but now it's back on my credit report. This is incredibly frustrating and defeats the purpose of hiring a credit repair service.
After all this time, I still have two negative items remaining, and I haven't received any meaningful updates or support. I tried reaching out recently and got no helpful response. For the money I spent, I expected better communication, transparency, and actual results.
Bottom line: I do not recommend Lexington Law if you're looking for consistent progress or accountability. My experience left me feeling let down and financially set back.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that you didn't achieve the desired results. Everyone’s credit situation is unique, leading to variations in time frames and outcomes when working on their case. Occasionally, creditors may re-report items that have previously been deleted by the credit bureaus. This typically occurs when a creditor or debt collector fails to verify the information challenged within the 30- to 45-day timeframe allotted for credit bureaus to investigate consumer disputes, especially common with requests for validation. If a creditor doesn't verify within this period, they may remove the negative item, only to report it again once verified. If you encounter re-reported negative information, you have the option to re-challenge the item. Additionally, Lexington Law has specialized methods, such as escalation letters, for re-challenging specific negative items. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any further questions or concerns regarding re-challenging specific negative items. We're here to assist you every step of the way. Your experience is important to us, and we'd like to address your concerns directly.

They were unsatisfactory; I had them for a year, and they only removed one item from one report. We have three reports, and at that rate, it would take 30 years. The longer they take, the more they make for doing minimal effort.

They continue to charge even though I stopped my account with them the same day it was made. I have contacted them on multiple occasions over the last few months. They have confirmed I did cancel. Yet, I continue to have this problem. It's been four months. Each month they charge me $25, $33.57, then twice for $140. I have tried blocking the payments. I have contacted them, as I have said. They refunded me $19 one time. I will be sending out yet another email, calling again, and contacting the bank. I can't even sign into an account, as it was canceled and no longer exists. This was confirmed over the phone and in their chat feature in September, twice.

Easy to sign up, less easy to cancel... Live chat has a button where you would expect to hit send to reply, but it is actually a cancel chat button. I had to talk to multiple people to cancel, but it was done. I paid $420, and nothing was done for 3 months. I have an average 690 credit score; I was just looking for some small items to be removed, and they did nothing for the three months. I feel as though its a bit scammy, they didnt bother to reach out at all to check in, felt very out of touch.

I regret ever signing up with Lexington Law. They make it very difficult to cancel, and the credit score they say you will have is much higher than the score your bank will see. Lexington Law is a rip-off. You can fix your credit score yourself and save a lot of money versus using Lexington Law. It is a terrible company. Do yourself a favor and never use Lexington Law.

I found Lexington Law on Google and decided to go with them because they’re a big company. They were doing a fine job but the thing is that they use what’s called a subscription model and after awhile it was starting to really add up. One day I was talking to a realtor and she told me about a company she used called Phoenix Group Credit Services. She said that they have a different model. She said that they’ll give you an exact quote up front so that you know exactly what you’re getting in to before you make your decision. I reached out and turns out she was right. They gave me a free quote for the whole program up front. I remember it being like really affordable. They fixed my credit fast and when they were done I went back to that same realtor lady to buy my house!!

Lexington Law are crooks! They will try to see you with some sweet talking person in the US and the. It’s call center India all the way! They failed to deliver what they promised (remove some simple inaccurate negative feedback from my credit report), instead they sent a generic letter to rating bureaus and never took into account the information I provided to them, at the request I might add when they were trying to sign me up. After three months of taking money out of my account, they deleted my subscription without offering any meaningful service. I called to see what was happening and they told me they deleted my subscription because I wasn’t happy with the outcomes. They never even bothered to write and say anything about them cancelling my account, nor did they ever deliver any outcomes or refund the $400 dollars they charged me. It is now close to 4 months later, and in addition to taking my money and not delivering, they have stolen from me time that could have perhaps been spent actually doing something about inaccurate negative data on my credit report. Lexington law should be shut down.

The lawsuit has been settled in 2023, and we understand you may have questions regarding the lawsuit or the CFPB’s recent distributions. We encourage you to reach out directly to the CFPB for assistance, as they are managing the distribution of their funds and determining the amounts and recipients. These are CFPB distributions, not Lexington Law refunds, so they are in the best position to provide the clarity and support you need.

Beware of this company. They border on fraudulent activity. I spent nearly $2000 for them to clean up my credit. The failed miserably. I had accounts that hadn’t been worked for months. Getting an answer from these people is nearly impossible. I talked to many of the employees and found I got different answers to the same question. The front line people shields customers from senior management. They are unprofessional and lack knowledge. I think they should be exposed for the frauds they are. This review will not faze them nor will they reach out to explain. They were not forthright with me at all. I don’t like being lied to. I can honestly say this company lacks integrity and professionalism. Anybody interested in joining me in a lawsuit to recover the money they ripped off from us? It would be nice for them to lose their license to do business. In the meantime, I’ll continue to hover around them and make attempts to expose them for what they are. I’ve already sent a letter to the Attorney General in the state they are licensed in. My voice is loud, but I need a crowd of voices. Obviously, I’m not the only person who fell for their scam. Shameful and shameless

I canceled with this company because they were charging way more what than what they said they were. For the past two months which I have canceled continuously verbally through emails they continue to take money from my account and they block it so you can't remove your credit card or your debit card and continually take funds out of my account month after month. Do not trust this company

Very much a sales operation, no real engagement with your case or customer service (just bot-like boiler plate responses.) There's nothing they do you can't do on your own -- so save your money! And when you try to cancel for lack of progress or activity or updates, they kick the can and tell you to just be patient, keep renewing (or, they ignore your outreach altogether.) Feels like they're bilking an already-vulnerable population.

Horrible I would respectfully decline any offer from this legitimate criminal enterprise. Double charged even after proving a secondary charge was charged and still received late fees. I cancelled because of the lack of due diligence and integrity and they continued to try to take money in lengthy amounts periodically like I was an active client. Sometimes when the amount wasn't in the account they wanted they would continuously attempt smaller increments all the way to four dollars. These people are legitimate thieves worse than the turbo tax scandal. They Make it impossible to speak to anyone to attempt to resolve why account was not cancelled. I've spent less time waiting over the phone for the commonwealth rmv's. They should dismantle this company and the rediculous methods used. I called the number back they called me from coincidentally the number I had been calling from incoming is a different company until they go to call you again. This company should be investigated internally ASAP. If I could have gave them no stars it would have happened.
