About two weeks after I opened the accounts, I got a call from a flunky at MTC, asking for personal information, out of the blue. I asked her whether my money was safe and earning interest. She said that it was. I refused to answer any personal questions and told here not to call back. Fifteen minutes later, I received a call from the original officer who opened the accounts. She hadn't realized that one of the checks I deposited had been endorsed by someone else, "For deposit only". She kept me on the phone for at least fifteen minutes, demanding contact information for the person who had endorsed the other check. I eventually put her in contact with that person, who told her that it was indeed what the endorser had intended.
Who knows when this officer will find another excuse to contact me and further annoy me.
My CDs will mature in seven months, and MTC Credit Union will NEVER get any of my business again! One star is really flattery for this disorganized outfit.
There are no hidden fees. You don't get charged for every debit card transaction that you do like with other banks. The debit card reward program is also very nice. We use it to get free hotel rooms when we are on vacation.
I would recommend MTC to anyone wanting to open a new account, be it checking or savings.

How can I get a cash advance with my MTC credit card?
To get a MTC credit card cash advance:
- Call MTC Federal Credit Union customer service at the number on the back of your card and request a PIN, if you don't already have one.
- Insert the credit card at an ATM and enter the PIN.
- Select the cash advance option on the ATM screen.
- Enter the amount you'd like to withdraw.
- Withdraw the cash and remove the credit card from the ATM.
It's also important to note that a MTC credit card cash advance is a very expensive transaction. For starters, a cash advance fee and a separate cash advance APR apply as soon as you withdraw the cash. There may also be ATM-owner fees, depending on where you get the cash advance.
