The staff is professional and friendly; they provide great customer service and make you feel at ease while going through the process. They were there for me when I needed them the most. Since then, I have referred friends and others. Wonderful ladies, awesome!

I definitely recommend this company for a small loan. Christy went out of her way to help me. She was very pleasant, efficient, and I was in and out very quickly.

I've received two cold calls from this company in two days. Both of them sounded exactly the same—not in their voices, but in their words. It's all scripted, down to the letter. They begin with, 'You looked into debt consolidation a while back because you had unsecured debt over $10,000, right?' It feels intrusive. When did I look into debt consolidation? They're so vague!

Then they continue. They coax you to answer affirmatively—'not including vehicle or student loans, you have unsecured debt over $10,000, right?'—so you don't realize that they're guiding you down a path they want you to take. Try to back out of the conversation, and they’ll reply, 'But you said you had a large amount of unsecured debt.' This is a sly, underhanded tactic used by the lowest of the low.

Next, they attempt to pull you in. If you choose not to answer any of their questions, as I did, they say, 'I understand, [insert first name], but you would like to consolidate your unsecured loans and have one small monthly payment, right?' There's the bait again. Attempt to leave the conversation once more, and they’ll persist, 'If you just answer a few questions, we can put you in touch with one of our debt consolidation experts. You want to consolidate your unsecured loans, right?' I told the person I was ending the conversation and hung up. They'll probably call back tomorrow.

Listen, if a company employs these tactics, do not use their 'services.' Working with banks and consolidation companies is always going to be a lopsided endeavor in their favor, but there's no telling to what lengths Gold Star Financing will go and what they'll convince you to agree to if they start with such contemptible deception.

In summary, I implore you, do not agree to anything they say when you receive a cold call from them. Just hang up.

It's sad when you receive a letter stating you're pre-approved, only to be told something different later. You should have known a person's credit status before sending out such letters. I could have used the extra money, but fortunately, my bank provided me with a personal loan. I just wanted to make this point.

Disgusting sales /service reps got my info somehow and called me.. I took a moment out of my day to discuss and told them no thank you the old piece of trash hungup on me when I said no thank you.. This company is disgusting from the onset. I wouldn't recommend doing anything with them.

Gold star acts like shark loans, they threaten and harass you. Very rude and ruthless company. I hate I ever went to Gold star. Constantly harassed

It's OK, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you absolutely need to go this route. Only go this route if you've exhausted all other alternatives and have no choice. The interest rates aren't worth it.

I fill out an application for a loan. I was refused because the lady said I live in Houston. This was the Pasadena Branch.Thats mess up. I'm like 5 miles from there.

Zero stars if could. Applied for a loan and the manager calls me and starts going through my past credit and trying to "understand" a late credit card payment, when I explained the thousands of dollars I've spent in nearly 2 months of auto repairs that has been completely draining me, along with a move, He says "well I'm trying to get you approved" however he's the manager and continues through my credit report asking me "why this and why that", talking down to me. Let me tell you something, you either say "yes" we can or "no" we cannot approve you for this loan but what these people do is belittle you and try to embarrass you. I did not apply for a financial advisor (I have one of those who is currently helping me thanks) or a father figure, I applied for a SMALL loan under $1,500. Learn your audience, customer service and how to speak to people when in this line of business. Unacceptable.

Good place to have a loan, very understanding people and they help. They will work with you. Never had a problem with them will recommend anytime
