I have banked here for years, and unfortunately the customer service and communication continue to get worse. I never expected to be spoken to with sarcasm and disrespect when simply trying to get help with my account. Instead of resolving concerns professionally, employees often come across as dismissive and unhelpful.
After years of dealing with poor communication, long wait times, and lack of accountability, this last experience was enough for me. A bank should make customers feel valued and supported, not frustrated and ignored.
At this point, I am seriously considering moving not only my accounts, but also my family members’ accounts elsewhere. Loyalty clearly means nothing here, and it is disappointing to see how poorly long-time customers are treated.

I have been with the credit union for almost 20 years and I have no complaints. Some of the sweetest people in the Universe, and I love them....ALL! I have so many testimonies concerning their professionalism but today I don't have time to share everything but if you will give me until next week and God willing, I will share some of the great things that they are doing daily!

Good customer service. The bank is pretty fair and lenient with its members and offers a few cool incentives during the holidays like skip a payment.

Bought two vehicles one got behind two months and they held the car title on the paid off vehicle and said they would not release it for 6 months. They don’t assist educators they are loan sharks. Do not use TFCU

One of the big things to me with credit unions is how convenient they are. With the El Paso Area Teacher’s Federal Credit Union, they’ve managed to make my life so much simpler when it comes to banking. Their online banking is absolutely user friendly, more so than other credit unions or banks I’ve dealt with. Going in is always a treat as well. I love dealing with them and their friendliness, it is a rare kind of courtesy that isn’t seen too much these days. When I make a mistake or there is a problem on the account, they are always more than willing to help. When I had to take out a loan, I was genuinely surprised that the interest rate was smaller than I could ever have hoped. It's a great credit union.

This year, me and my husband decided to trade in our car for a newer one and of course, needed a loan to do so. EPATFCU was the first credit union we tried to go through. They were nice enough, but the real problem was that most of the employees didn't speak English very well. I know we are next to the border, but it would be nice to be able to understand the clerks when I go into a bank. I'm sure they were trying to be helpful, but that language barrier forced us to go with another bank. Even the ones who spoke English good enough had a thick accent. Overall, not a bad experience. We just couldn't make it work due to the language.
