This credit union is so bad that they need to be shut down. They should be bought out by a larger credit union, gutted, and started from scratch. We paid off an auto loan in September 2025. It's been over 30 days now and we have not received the title. I called them today to check and they told me to contact the DMV because they had completed their release. Upon calling the DMV, it turned out that the credit union had not electronically pushed the button to release the title. I called back and was transferred to multiple different departments without anyone knowing what to do. I was finally transferred to someone who said, "We only work on the release report every 10 days." However, it's already been 30 days and the lien has not been released. That person said they would handle it today. There was no apology, just excuses. They only apologized when I asked for one. Just awful. This bank is terrible. I only opened the auto loans because of the rate. Trust me, it is not worth it. You will pay for it in the end with very poor service. I will never bank here again.

I am not computer "SAVY"and I been having a problem with the TRANSITION from TELLER to the machines.
I been trying to get a ATM card since the beginning of the Transition"MONTHS"

I find BRI to be INFORMATIVE ,KNOWLEDGABLE and PROFESSIONAL pleasant.

NOT only did she Address / FIX ,the multitude of problems I was encountering she created a atmosphere that allow me to be comfortable with the understanding of how to move forward on my own with this new technology arena that had me FRAUSTRATED with the new operating procedure.

I know that Im not the only person that is having problems with the transition .

Bri understood this, she exercised the PATIENCE and the TOLERANCE to bring me to a level of understanding that eased my uncomfortably with simple not knowing or understanding this new process.

she did the task, made me feel included in the process and elevated my understanding in the process.

I usually don't write review but I'm so impressed with her professionalism that I took the time to "PECK" this out.

Back at the end of 2019 I received a call from Ms Markia Baker at RVA Financial. She called to ask if there is anything the bank to do to help me accomplish financial goals. We talked and tackled my first need which was refinancing my vehicle. I was in a bad place with the current lender that I didnt think I would ever get out of. Well it appears a miracle was performed because as of today I am in a better car and was able to get financed through RVA at a better interest rate. Markia and the loan team definitely pulled through for me in a big way and I am truly grateful. My faith has been restored in this financial institution! I plan on continuing to bank with them in the future and will also have my daughter open an account here as well to get her started. Thank you Markia and RVAF!

After a few years of being a member, I needed home repairs . When i wasn’t able to complete it online, Denisha (hope I spelled it right) called so I may continue with the loan. Same day I was accepted and the money is in my account. I’m thankful so that I can get these repairs so I can have a healthier home. Customer service has been very good to deal with and I’m a very happy member . Definitely recommend you to become a member.

RVA C.U. has been great to deal with for my auto loan. I would recommend them to anyone for there banking needs. They have always been there for me.

Markia Baker at the City Hall location helped through the process of a personal loan. She listened carefully to what I thought I needed, gave suggestions based on her knowledge of the products, was extremely helpful during the approval process and very helpful with the set up of the loan. She also suggested other helpful products based on things I said during our conversations that I am considering. She is extremely professional, pleasant and a perfect person to work with!

I've been a member of New Generations Federal Credit Union for a while now. When I moved I needed a local bank to use for a checking account and a co worker recommended New Generations Federal Credit Union and said they had good experiences with them. There is no hidden fees or monthly fees which you might encounter with other banks. ATM's are all over the place, and there's great customer service as well. Overall you can't ask for much more from a bank.

I am a longtime and very happy member of New Generations Federal Credit Union because they know how to properly treat their customers. I had never done any banking with a credit union before, and I joined on the recommendation of a friend because I was unhappy with my old bank and wanting a change. The experience so far has been so much better. I'm not getting hit with phantom fees, I'm not waking up to regularly incorrect balances, and I'm not dealing with apathetic sloths when I have to visit a branch. I'm 100% satisfied and I only wish I had made the change sooner.

I've been a customer of New Generations Federal Credit Union for about 9 years. I ve used them for my savings for most of the years I have been a member. I have a direct deposit withdrawal that goes to my account from my job in the area. I have also had a loan through New Generations a few years ago. I have an ATM account also that I use. I haven't had much complaint about this credit union. The hours are suitable to me and I understand the operations. The location is very convenient to me and fits my needs. I rarely go inside but on the times that I have the staff was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The application process is very quick. I really like how easy it is to apply for loans online with a fast response for approval. I am someone who uses online activities often and really prefer to operate on the web.

I have enjoyed my membership here and will more than likely continue to with them for years.
