My dad had a loan and asked for the lot to be released, and received an email stating it would be finished by 8/31/21. This took 1 and a half years to get completed, or so I thought. Trying to get a construction loan only to find out this was not done. The mortgage loan has been sold now. Trying to get the paperwork to give to the new mortgage company is a joke. It took one and a half years dealing with four people who don't know how to do their jobs. I would never use or recommend this mortgage company.

I only spoke to the LO on the outset, that fine, but the team that does the underwriting and processing did all communicates by group email, WHAT! I have never heard and/or experienced that any previous leader or mortgage company, ever.
This just complicated who I needed to direct my replies to, when they asked for paperwork or other. All other companies assign you a dedicated processor, not the steno pool. I provided everything they requested, but then they ghosted me, and said I didn't replay to their last request for info, which is lie.
I'm an the real estate industry for over 20+ years, and have never meet a more unprofessional group in my life. This was the Arizona office.

I would not choose this company, if I had any choice at all. They do not list any customer service number on their website. Getting in touch with their customer service is a journey in itself. I would send an email and get a reply 5 days later saying "select Live Chat" when there was no option to do so. Once you do get to talk to someone, good luck getting the correct information or getting anyone to take any responsibility for anything going on there or actually help you resolve anything. I was told different things on different days, mishandled, given incorrect information, talked down to and threatened with collections when my payment was 2 weeks past due (ONCE). I will never, ever do business with this company again.

I am a Realtor whose clients had already been pre-approved with Heidi Snarr at SNMC so we kept the loan there. I asked for options to help the buyer choose between regular closing costs with a minimum down payment vs higher down payment with no closing costs (possible at a higher rate). I was basically told to butt out. We found another lender and switched $10,000 in lender fees into down payment and got lower pmi at the lower loan to value ratio. Payments are slightly less and we got a better loan overall at a competing lender. Heidi called me unprofessional for saving my client money. I guess the professionals keep their mouth shut. SNMC was a waste of time and would have charged a lot of fees but it was also a really bad experience being treated the way I was treated.

Re: Security National Mortgage Company, Unresolved PMI Overcharges

I’m writing to describe my experience with Security National Mortgage Company. I opened a case with their PMI department on July 5, 2021 regarding PMI charges that are $13 above the contract amount. Then without explanation, an additional PMI remittance of $285.11 was done on August 20, 2021. I’ve been writing their PMI department every 2 months and I get a generic “we are trying our best to resolve the issue” response. I’ve written their Research Department twice and got no response. In February 22, 2022 I mailed a letter to the Office of the President with USPS tracking and still no response. On March 3, 2022, I called their customer service. After waiting for 30 minutes, the resolutions specialist, Caroline, told me that their PMI department does not talk to anybody on the phone.

Nine (9) months later and as of this writing, Security National owes me $359.51 in PMI overcharges. Resolution is no where in sight. This is a bad company. Any suggestion as to how I could get this resolved is welcome.
