The Zebra

This company is the worst. I would not recommend them to anyone. Their agent was incredibly unhelpful with terrible communication. I had more questions after talking to their agent than I did before. Dustin completely disregarded what i was looking to purchase. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE ZEBRA...

Lots of lies. Completely useless. They make you fill out all your information just to provide links to other insurance companies. Hmm, what are they going to do with all that data...

Completely useless. You go through the fifteen steps to fill out all the information they ask for, and then they do that little "Searching for the best quotes..." animation to make you think they're actually doing something. Then they just give you a bunch of links to other insurance companies to fill in the information all over again while they put all the data you gave them in their database and tell you "Oh, we promise we would never sell your information. Golly shucks, mister."

This is a joke. Filled out all the information and in the end, all they did was tell me to contact each individual company for a quote. Then I received massive emails from insurance companies. If I could give them a zero I would.

I used The Zebra to compare car insurance policies. They helped me to find something cheaper than the previous company I was using. Everything was fine, until I went to renew my policy and noticed something reported on my driving record. There was a sanction/ticket reported for "driving without authorized permission", with the source being "application only", leading to 4 points being added to my driving record with the insurance company. The insurance carrier reported that this info was given by the insurance agent- who was from The Zebra! This "activity" was reported for 1 day before my policy began with this company... seems shady! Not only was this completely untrue, it caused me to pay hundreds of dollars more than necessary on my policy for 2 renewals. Not cool! I was able to get the situation fixed with my insurance carrier but I am not able to get my hundreds of dollars back. Obviously it was of some advantage to The Zebra agent to make up false information and increase my policy rate. I will never use The Zebra again, they are simply not honest!

Did not receive any quotes. Instead, it just gives links that redirect to the insurance companies where you have to fill in the same exact information. This is possibly one of the most useless websites ever created. I would just go directly to the insurance websites next time instead of wasting my time going through The Zebra.

Doesn't let you choose your coverages so you can't really compare to your current policy.No glass coverage or lower deductible.Site is basically useless just a waste of my time

DO NOT GET INSURANCE THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!!!! They are the absolute worst insurance you could possibly get!!!
So my husband and I were thinking about buying a car and decided to go look at a dealership on January 7th, 2022. But before we were going to purchase the vehicle we found we wanted to make sure the payments for insurance would not be too high. We called Zebra and they said full coverage for this vehicle would be $169.70 per month. Which is really great in my opinion. We were excited and after making sure it would only be that much per month we purchased the car. The zebra representative was very certain and confirmed the payments per month. We made the payment of $169.70, got the insurance cards, got the car...good to go. Well, we got a bill for $158, due by 1/27/22, which I was sure was a clerical error as we just made a payment. Nope, Zebra said our actual payment was $276 per month and if we didn't pay the remaining balance our insurance would be canceled. Apparently the representative, who gave us our monthly payment, couldn't actually give us a solid quote because they are not the ones who set the price. And after listening to the recorded calls and hearing the rep tell us it would be $169.70 per month the "Service Supervisor ", Erica Alderete, said, "Oh sorry he shouldn't have told you that but that is what you are going to have to pay. Nothing we can do about it."
Erica Alderete is the absolute worst customer rep...well aside from the idiot who guaranteed us the quote he was giving was accurate.

They give you low quotes to pull you in then jack up the prices because they can!!
They are just the middle man....they have no idea what they are doing. Just go straight to the actual insurance companies who know how to do their jobs.
