Thankfully, another receptionist eventually stepped in and resolved my issue, but the initial interaction was extremely unprofessional. To make matters worse, while I was waiting for assistance, the first receptionist proceeded to help another customer without any hesitation.
This inconsistent and dismissive behavior was disappointing, especially from a community bank that prides itself on customer service. While I'm grateful for the help I eventually received, the overall experience left much to be desired.
Most recently, this week, they "updated" their bill pay, and it is as bad as my experience with Suntrust/Truist during their huge merger. I am frightened by what United Community Bank did to my bill pay. Instead of putting the payee's name, they put the "nickname" (their designation, not mine—I call it a memo of what the bill is for). They put the nickname like "mortgage" or "credit card" or a mysterious PIN number instead of the payee's name. None of this makes sense, and I'm not sure where my payments are going. The customer service is horrible.
Back to Truist I will go. The bank that touts "personal community service" is also now not processing my automatic payments on the day they are due—there is a 3-4 day delay, which I understand is a float of interest for them while my bills are paid late. Customers, beware.
Horrible experience with this greedy bank They WILL sell your personal info to various 3rd parties who they claim are their "partners" ie Home Warranty Company. My mortgage is not serviced inhouse but another 3rd party who is absolutely horrible.... on auto draft and they said I Imissed a payment
