Hey, people in the United States, do not trust them or borrow anything, or you will be sorry if any tragedy happens in your life and you can't make a payment. Do not cosign for anything if your loved one is using this bank! They will not even look for the loan holder and will immediately come after the cosigner with absolutely no communication. They will garnish every paycheck and your tax refund and charge any fee they can, with a lawyer, in court, at the highest interest legally possible, no matter what your credit score.

I am sticking with the Ultra checking but expect to leave if the bonus interest disappears. The local branch was affected by Hurricane Helene and still waiting for it to reopen 9 months later. The remaining branches are far away or incredibly difficult to reach because of traffic and their location.
Now, I am looking at a minimum of two more weeks without a way to get back and forth to work. I can't express how much I disapprove of the way UFCU has dropped the ball on this simple transaction. There is nothing like having to hitchhike to and from work across state lines when you're paying for a vehicle to sit in the driveway because you cannot get it registered legally.
I have been a loyal customer of UFCU for many years, through multiple loans that were successfully paid off. This has been a very unsatisfying experience, and I will definitely be looking elsewhere in the future for any and all my financial needs.
They have grown and recently 'upgraded' their software. This new upgrade has been nothing short of a nightmare. We hate it and wish they had left things as they were. Statements used to be available on the first of the month for the prior month. Now, they are rarely ready during the first week after the close of the month. We had personal and work related expense accounts that were nicely separate. Now they are a mixed mess. We really are trying to give them time to straighten things out because we like the folks at our local branch, but it's been being 'worked on' for months now and we have about had enough. I only give 2 stars because we do like our local folks. Unfortunately, they cannot fix these problems on the local level.
I've had two car loans through UFCU. I refinanced one of them. Everything was very easy. People behind the counters have always been very nice.
