Pay options aren’t the best and you can never get a straight answer. When I first bought the car I had a loan for 6 years now 4 years in I won’t be done paying on it before the end of the loan.
I had a loan with Chrysler capital which I chose to refinance with velocity. They paid my Chrysler loan off on 3/5/21 and said my payment to them was due 3/3/21. How is that possible? I called and can get no information. Just a bunch of I don’t knows. I feel I screwed up with going with them.
Nothing changed from the new system it’s still a difficult & different kind of credit union...good luck I have a loan here unfortunately and wish I didn’t...
Velocity took a week to "upgrade" their computers thereby processing my credit card payment late by 3 days. No grace period, just an interest charge...thank you very much.
I called their 800 number and their rep couldn't help because she had a "system error". Nice upgrade.
Hopefully since the governor has declared the state open, I can now use the lobby. Since the pandemic started, wait time is at least 10 minutes per vehicle in the Braker Ln drive thru. Doesn't help the new ATM is broken 50% of the time.
No one should dread going to the bank.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in any financial institution I have dealt with in my life. It's impossible to deal with anyone that works in credit union. When you call you are connected to a call center with some poorly trained personnel. It is impossible to get connected to anyone inside the bank. I have been three days trying to get a written payoff on my car loan. I will close my accounts
Please do not count on Velocity Credit Union to follow their own Agreements and Disclosures when it comes to protecting your Mastercard Debit or Credit Cards. I have nearly $1.300 stolen from my account and have now been told that since they would not cover the fraudulent charges even though I reported them EXACTLY as I was required to do. I provided evidence, pages and pages of evidence with screenshots and yet they claim it wasn't enough. The real reason they do not want to give me my money back is that there are tons of fees associated with each Mastercard transaction for chargebacks. The company who ripped me off charged my card 99 times, so Velocity would have to pay a bunch of fees. So rather than follow the law and their own Agreements and Disclosures, they are screwing me over. I will be hiring an attorney and filing reports with the FTC as well as the BBB. Velocity will not get away with cheating me. I am so extremely disappointed in a bank that I have always considered exceptional.
I had suspicious activity on my account that i verified 4 times by calling through their long drawn out process. I verified all of my information 826274 times and they “released” the hold on my card 4 times. Every time I tried to use my card it would not work, so I had to repeat the tedious procedure again and again calling and being transfer again and again and answering the same 826274 questions over and over again. I was never able to get it resolved and just kept getting transferred to the next incompetent high school drop out that works for this company. I hate giving this credit union even 1 star because that means they at least did something right which I don’t believe they did. After explaining how incompetent and horrible their customer service was I was told to stay on the line to complete a survey. They hung up on me and I didn’t have the chance. If you have money and want to use this credit union you are better off giving your money to an alcoholic homeless bum because then at least someone can use your money.
DAVID ANCIRA!! This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with the banker and or a bank David was incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate. He left rude messages and emails ,he basically threatened me that if I do not come to the bank at a certain time that there would be "problems" for me that I would have to deal with - I'm very disappointed and will never ever use velocity credit union again.
Before I made the decision to apply for a personal loan at Velocity Credit Union I researched other credit unions and I settled on going with Velocity. Before applying for a personal loan with Velocity I spoke to a loan processor in their loan dept. and she said in order to get the better rate of 6.49% I would need a credit score of 740. Well, I have a credit score of 760 so clearly I qualify for the better rate I, requested $40,000 they gave me a counter-offer of $10,000 and the lame excuse on why I don't qualify for $40,000 because, I did not have a track record of prior personal loans. I have several unsecured credit cards with very high limits and they have all been paid back with no late payments, student loans-paid off, I'm a homeowner and I have paid off autos loans. My answer to them I don't go around getting loans just to be getting a loan clearly my credit is excellent and I have the income to pay it back. So to me they are practicing deceptive trade practice because clearly I qualify for the loan amount. No where on their website does it stipulate that you must have prior personal loans. Then they came back with another counter offer of $15,000. My question to the loan processor, If I didn't have any experience why offer me any dollar amount, I have a business account with Velocity but I will be closing it as well. I requested Joelee Washburn the Loan Manager to call me back yesterday, I still haven't received a call back from him, but he had a loan processor to call me to tell me his counter-offer.

The worst customer experience when trying to contact them about an emergency or fraud on your account. No direct dial numbers or extensions to get to a human for answers. Inefficient processing of requests for information by phone, extraordinary hold times, unacceptable response times and overall not a safe place to put your money.
