During COVID, became unemployed. Called Verizon to see if I could cancel as I could no longer afford it. They told me no. Then told me only if I paid an outrageous amount of money. They refused to work with me at the time. I had a past due balance of around $250-$300. Not sure how it increased to over a thousand dollars from there or why they are attempting to charge me so much money. Verizon is greedy. They just flat out refused to work with me when I was in an unfortunate place. So I’ll take my time to pay them back the amount that I ACTUALLY owed.

I've disputed this bill with Verizon repeatedly. They tried to charge me after I canceled service. I will not pay this fraudulent claim.
There is nothing to rate - I have gone thru several screens and filled in much info/requests to transunion - trying to indicate that this was submitted as a complaint to the PUC and in part of a major public action suit -- also, I have been very ill over the last few years and sporadically able to follow-up w/Verizon - though they are not in the last helpful for all times I tried. I have notations/documentation of all.
This was for my Verizon account few years ago I paid $250 per month for myself and my two sons for our iPhones and for our coverage. I couldn’t afford it anymore because of a car accident and I called them and told them to please close my account well they never did and about 6 months later they sent me this bill it was only $500 when I notified them n decided to close 6 months after I wanted n it’s not correct. Verizon's attack dog for when people demand that Verizon honor their agreements. When a company lies and refuses to honor payment plans, a consumer's only recourse is to withhold payment.
I called verizon shortly after I got DSL to cancel this service! I returned their equipment and was told they would close this account. Instead they put me in collections. This is wrong!!!
Verizon wireless Sales agent inferred credit check would be instantaneous and of course I would get a great deal. After giving info,which they sent off instantly, I was informed it would be another 7 to 10 business days. Then denied through the mail at a score of 720
