I got a call from the branch manager asking me to come in because my SSN was incorrect on one of the accounts. They realized this because two accounts had two different SSNs. I came in and re-signed account forms. A week later, I received another call that my name was misspelled on my son’s savings account. I was told if I didn’t come back in to re-complete paperwork that they would close my son’s college savings account. Thanks for the heads up about your shoddy keyboard entry and proofreading skills; I’m no longer confident about your financial skills.

BEWARE. Over a year ago I opened a 1 year CD online with MidFirst. When the CD matured, I found they have no method for closing the CD online! They admit they take money electronically but will not return it that way even though the External Transfer Account was still set up. An electronic funds transfer is safe, secure and fast but it is against their ‘policy’ to use that method. They have made 'mistakes' that have held my money hostage, collecting interest for themselves, for a month: $1.45 was added, then removed. I am still working with BBB. The MidFirst rating should be one black death star.

I have had a CD account with this bank for almost two years. While I don’t have anything against the bank itself or its employees, once my CD is up, I will probably not re-invest. The interest rate that was offered to me is a joke. It’s much lower than what other banks offer. I guess I should have done my research before I gave them my money. Or maybe I should have asked the counselor about other options. Anyways, while the bank is not bad, their CS accounts are not too competitive.

I want to start out saying that ever since I was a child first putting in a few dollars here and there into a savings account I have been with MidFirst Bank. As I was growing up my parents bank account was at MidFirst so naturally I first started my banking there. As I got older and moved out on my own and started banking and managing my finances by myself I have found that I am incredibly pleased with the support at this institution. No matter where I'm at in Oklahoma there is almost always a branch within a few miles and I haven't ever been inside of one that hasn't had very kind personnel. I have no doubt that I will stay at MidFirst indefinitely. It has been a true pleasure!
