Been with MF for many years and have put up with various issues, but this one will move my business account to another bank. Deposited a $2600+ check in ATM on 5/29 (Memorial Day, so MF closed). After many minutes of non-action from the ATM (processing, depositing, etc), an error message comes up that says " One or more deposit items were unable to be returned due to a technical problem. We apologize for the inconvenience." It then says to input an approximate amount of the check. I input exact amount. Sent an email the same day to my MF banker, who I "thought" would be able to handle the issue, since he had always been able to in the past. Didn't hear back from him on 5/30, so I called him. By the tone of his voice, you could tell he was annoyed at my email, seeking help for an issue with THEIR machine, and he would look into it "when he got a chance". Went to bank on 5/30 and they said they can't do anything because they have NO access to the ATM, What the...., how do you not have keys to access ATM? Banker I spoke with said this has been an issue before (new ATM machines) and it should show up in my account after 9pm on 5/30. Guess what, not there. Go back to MF at 9 a.m.on 5/31, speak to same banker, still can't do anything and will have to send an email to company that services the ATM. Banker would call me when she gets back from her doctor's appointment, if she has heard from ATM company. 2:00 rolls around, so call. I call and she says she hasn't heard from ATM company. Told her this is screwing with my companies payables, again, she said can't do anything about that!!. Get a call back, asking if I have a copy of the check, um no, it's in your ATM for the last 2 days. Give her my customers account number and routing number that the check was cut on, why she wanted that?? who knows, get the check out of the ATM and there is all your answers. stay away from MidFisrt. They don't abide by their slogan. "True to your money" you just can't access it!!
Not good people liars name callers just rude people hang up on you and they know more about imagination then anyone they think they are stupid when it comes to imagination and customer service
Midland Mortgage refuses to communicate with me about concerns about my mortgage loan with then. The Customer Service Representative's identified as Ethan told me that if I had any information about my account to go ask my lawyer. He also Informed me that his supervisor, Sergio, would not talk to me and Informed me to go talk to my lawyer. I have NO legal action pending against the company. I am also locked out of the website where I can make my payments and stay updated on information about my account.
If I could give it negative stars I would. Deposited a payroll check with them for the first time and they are holding funds for 1 week because the check is out of state and I’m a newer customer. Fraud department won’t help.
I worked with Midfirst for a bit over 13 years. My trust, which I had had since an early age was transferred to them, and it was grossly mismanaged. They lost me about $130,000 in investments. They say that they inherited this situation from the previous wealth management group. Yet, my investments rested with them for approximately the past 3 years, during which time I would have expected them to have contacted me to navigate these losses in the slightest. I wish I could say differently but after nearly 3 years of sole management and 13 years of general management (with another wealth management group), I would not recommend this bank in the slightest.

After 18 Years I'm done. Every time I try to get an issue resolved I get ignored or blown off. If you're not a major business you don't matter. The last 3 years I've been stationed out of state and it only got worse. I've been a Midfirst Bank customer since I was 15 and I'm never going back. They do not care about you, and if you're in the military you matter even less. Literally the most difficult bank I've had to deal with. Second worst, IBC is the worst. DO NOT use midfirst, use literally anyone else. I'm definitely going to warn all my guys stationed here to stay away.
midfirst Bank, has been there for every step of my financial life. I began using them at 14, when I created a checking and savings account to deposit checks from lawn mowing jobs. They have made a substantial impact on my life, I will list three top qualities for how they have done this. The first being presentation, at every
The insurance services department where one checks for payments made on insurance policies is absolutely incompetent. They have no interest in resolving issues. They say they will work on an issue and call you back by end of the business day. This never happens. Information provided in response to questions is incomplete at best, inaccurate, and often outright incorrect (feels deliberate). The telephone representatives are rude, do not listen to questions asked or replies given to their own inquiries. Bottom line: get your mortgage ANYWHERE else.
Horrific. Abusive practices included lying at the management levels, denying access to multiple accounts with cash available, active and ongoing senior verbal, emotional, financial and psychological abuse. This bank is headed for CFPB and Treasury scrutiny. This bank must be formally sanctioned for current practices in Arizona market and stripped of banking priveleges if not corrected. As far as the JD Power surveys, I've tried 3x to fill mine in and it each time my comments are erased. Not mobile friendly. We had multiple checking and savings accounts there and tried multiple times to invest through them. Always used wrong addresses and phone numbers to contact us despite close contacts with management at our branch at and investment branch.
If you want to waste your time - go here. I opened both a business and personal account here and no part of it has been easy. The opening process took a week and after signing 3 forms and going into the bank twice, I still can't link my business and personal account to transfer money between them. I believe the worst thing is that I have to start over every time I talk with someone - there aren't personal bankers that open your account and then make sure you're set up.
I'm not having the issue of not being able to send through Zelle or sign up for paper statements. You have to CALL IN. The technology of their site is archaic. I'm so sorry I transferred from Wells Fargo.
I originally wanted to support a smaller bank, but I'm so sorry I did. I'll be closing this account and moving back to Wells Fargo. Don't go here.
You can sign up for overdraft privilege with a MidFirst Bank checking account by visiting your local branch, calling 888.643.3477 or logging in to online banking.
If you want to set up overdraft protect, you will need to either go to the bank or call them. That cannot be done online.
