To cancel a Zelle payment, the process depends on whether the recipient has enrolled with the service. If the recipient has not yet enrolled, you can go to your activity page within the app, choose the payment you want to cancel, and then select “Cancel This Payment.” If your recipient has already enrolled with Zelle, the money is sent directly to their bank account and cannot be canceled.
If the payment was sent to the wrong person or you suspect fraud, contact your bank immediately for assistance. For the most up-to-date information, check your bank’s app or contact their customer service, as procedures may vary.
You can check the best checking accounts available to ensure that whatever decision you make really fits your goals.
