Decent starter card to build a credit history, but that's about the only benefit I see after using the card for 3 months. Disappointed on many aspects of the benefits of this card: 1) you won't be eligible for the bonus if you only have good credit, the bonus requires excellent credit, 2) there is a no foreign transaction fee, but there is a similar fee based on currency exchange, 3) the travel portal often shows prices way higher than the actual airline and hotel, and the 5x reward miles don't cover the difference, leaving you in the red, 4) it is impossible to get an itemized receipt booking through their travel portal because they often book through third parties (i.e., Expedia), please don't use this for business travel. Carefully consider this card, I think there are many better options available.

Large limit card keep clear for any of lifes sudden large emergency that might exceed cost of cash on hand. For example a family emergency like fire or earthquake. Our family is grateful to Capital one for such a large limit card. God bless all of you during this season.

Generous credit line, no annual fee, 0% interest on purchases and balance transfer for one year! This is my go- to travel card, strictly dedicated to Capital One Travel. It is excellent, with they are price match on tickets and array of resorts and hotels! I used this card to book my trip to the Bahamas! They were fantastic.

The rewards are very easy to use. I was very relieved to be able to get a miles card with my credit score. This was the most approachable one.

BE CAREFUL! Anytime you do an online order it is likely to get declined. Their system declines the charge and then they send a text and email to see if you made the charge. If you did, it's on you to contact the vendor and have them rerun the charge or to cancel and completely redo your order. They say calling ahead will not help, that their system does it randomly and there is no "threshold" limit that triggers it. I also have a Citicard account that will sometimes text and send an email when I make online orders, but they put a hold on the charge and wait for a response, instead of immediately declining and then checking with me after the fact like Capital One. Capital One almost cost me a $400 discount on a piece of furniture the first time they did this to me. The second time, almost $90 discount during a shoe sale. I have excellent credit and have been with them for over 10 years, but every time I sign in online or call, they want me to update my income and employment status. It's ridiculous. I pay my bill on time every month, but it seems like they really could care less if I was their customer. Customer service just keeps saying there is nothing they can do about it, but I keep telling them they need to have this system reviewed and have it be more like Citicard's system. I got this card to earn travel miles, but kind of hard to do if they are always declining your charges. Makes me want to put this card in the freezer and leave it there.

Love this card! Great rewards and cash back offers! No annual fee either! Paying online is simple as well. Even though I haven’t had the card but less than a year, they will not give me a credit increase. It would be nice since I pay my bill several times a month.

No credit limit increase periodically. You have to maximize your credit limit. What a joke. Use 80% get an increase. Stay away from this card. I have been with venture one for 2 years and have not gotten a limit increase. I have paid my balance off. And yet no increase. I called them and they said no.

I had a flight on Delta I booked through my points. I needed to change the date, a simple ask. Unfortunately it was a basic economy ticket and there is a 100 cancel fee. I called Delta and they assured me that the credit card company can waive the fee because I paid them and not Delta (makes sense). After holding and transferring I was able to talk to the "manager" Laura. She did not want to help me rebook in any way. Even knowing that I was going to spend the same points right away (no loss to the company). Points systems should feel like a reward and not a nightmare. No one on the customer service team seemed to have the power to make executive decisions, so I spent my time talking to someone with their hands tied instead of someone with the ability to help. For such a good card they need to step up their customer service initiatives. All of my other cards are very helpful when they see you are spending points.
