- Geographic Location: Individuals, businesses, and other legal entities who live, work, worship, or attend school in Brazos, Bastrop, Dallas, Harris, Hays, Hidalgo, Bexar, Tarrant, or Travis counties in Texas are eligible to join.
- Education Institutes: Eligibility extends to students, former students, faculty, and staff of Texas A&M University; employees and students of Texas State University; and those affiliated with Central Texas School Districts, including Bastrop ISD, Elgin ISD, Hays CISD, Leander ISD, and Northwest Lineman College.
- Employment: Individuals who work for or are associated with specific companies, organizations, or community groups, such as 365 by Whole Foods Market, Border Region Behavioral Health Center, and Elliott Security Solutions, also qualify for membership.
- Family: Immediate family members (e.g., spouse, child, parent, sibling) of current Greater Texas Federal Credit Union members are eligible.
