You can close a Morgan Stanley checking account by contacting the company over the phone, in person or through the mail. Once you’ve made contact through your chosen method, verify your identity and account information, then instruct the representative to complete the closure.
Before you close your account, confirm you do not have any pending transactions to ensure a smooth transition. Also, download or print your statements because you may lose access to them once the account is closed. Morgan Stanley does not allow you to close your account online.
