You can use your UPMC for Life Flex Spend Card at various locations to cover a wide range of expenses, including health services, medical service costs, health products, and fitness.
- Medical Service Costs: Use the card to pay for out-of-pocket costs like doctor's office visits, urgent care visits, physical therapy, lab services, and other covered expenses.
- Over-the-Counter (OTC) Products: The card can be used to buy covered OTC products at participating retail stores such as Dollar General, Giant Eagle, Kroger, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and Walmart. You can also order these products through a mail-order catalog.
- Dental, Vision, and Hearing Services: Use the card to cover out-of-pocket costs for services like teeth whitening, dental implants, eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, or fillings.
- Fitness: Starting January 1, 2025, you can use the card for memberships, classes, and activities at participating fitness locations like Club Pilates, Orangetheory Fitness, and CycleBar.
- Home Safety Products: The card can also be used to purchase home safety products like non-slip bathmats, transfer tub benches, and raised toilet seats from a home safety products catalog.
