The Platinum Card® car rental benefits include discounts and complimentary upgrades with Avis, Hertz, and National Car Rental. In order to get the Platinum Card® car rental perks, cardholders must enroll in at least one of the rental companies’ loyalty programs. Cardholders can get Avis Preferred status, elite status in the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards program, and National Emerald Club Executive status just by signing up.
Platinum Card® car rental benefits:
- Avis: The Avis Preferred status offers discounts on base rates and a complimentary weekend rental when you rent twice in 6 months.
- Hertz: If you enroll in Hertz Gold Plus Rewards, you’ll get up to 20% off on rentals and a 4-hour grace period on returns.
- National Emerald Club: The National Emerald Club Executive status lets you choose your own car and gives guaranteed upgrades. A full list of benefits can be found on the rental companies’ websites.
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Covers you for up to $75,000 against theft and damage for rentals of up to 30 consecutive days. You must charge the entire rental to your Platinum Card® and decline the agency’s CDW plan to be eligible.
