The American Express Platinum Card® Global Entry benefit is a $120 credit that covers the cost of the Global Entry application fee. The credit applies whether the application is approved or rejected and can only be used once every 4 years. Primary cardholders and authorized users each get their own $120 credit.
Cardholders must charge the application fee to a Platinum Card® in order to receive the credit. It may take up to 8 weeks after the Global Entry application fee is charged to the Platinum Card® before the credit posts to the account.
Global Entry is a federal program that makes it easier for U.S. citizens to re-enter the country after traveling abroad. If you’re approved, membership is valid for 5 years, but then you must re-apply to remain in the program.
