The Capital One Venture card two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security, which can help you prevent unauthorized access to your account. Once this feature is activated, you'll receive a push notification on your registered mobile device every time you login. Here's how you can enable 2FA:
- Download the Capital One mobile app.
- Once you've downloaded the app, agree to receive push notifications.
- Sign in and go to "Profile." Next, go to "Security" and then under "Additional Security" you should see "Mobile App Verification." Select that to enable the 2FA feature.
- You'll receive a push notification from Capital One, to verify that it's you. Open the app to approve the notification.
The 2FA feature helps to ensure that only you, the account owner, can access the account, even if someone else has obtained or guessed the login credentials.
