Yes, Aldi does take Discover cards. Aldi accepts Discover, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit cards at its U.S. grocery stores, along with cash, debit cards, gift cards, and contactless payment platforms such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Other accepted forms of payment include EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) and Link card benefit payments. Aldi does not currently accept WIC benefits or checks of any kind.
At one time, Aldi accepted only cash and debit cards as payment at its stores. However, Aldi began accepting Discover and other credit cards in 2016. And it added contactless payments as an accepted payment method a year later.
Still, it’s important to note that you may not be able to use Discover cards at some Aldi locations outside of the U.S. While 99% of businesses in U.S. will take Discover, Discover cards are not accepted in as many countries worldwide as credit cards on the Visa and Mastercard networks.
