How to Get a Wells Fargo Active Cash Virtual Credit Card
- Log in to your account on the Wells Fargo mobile app.
- Select “Menu” in the bottom right corner.
- Choose “Cards,” then click “Digital Wallet.”
- Tap “Apple Pay,” “Google Pay,” or “Samsung Pay,” depending on which digital wallet you want to use.
- From the list of eligible cards, add your Wells Fargo Active Cash to the digital wallet.
Wells Fargo will generate a virtual credit card number when you make a purchase with your Wells Fargo Active Cash through an eligible digital wallet. The Wells Fargo Active Cash virtual credit card information is tied to your credit card but is not the same as your actual card number. Virtual credit card numbers therefore help prevent fraud by adding an extra layer of protection to your credit card purchases.
In addition to the digital wallet options, you can also get a Wells Fargo Active Cash virtual card number through Click to Pay. The Click to Pay logo looks like a square with two arrows pointing to the right, and you’ll be able to create an account and add your Wells Fargo Active Cash if you click on the logo when you check out with participating merchants.
