You can transfer your Marriott Bonvoy points to 38 partner airlines, usually at a 3-to-1 ratio, which means 3,000 Marriott points get you 1,000 miles. The name on your airline loyalty account must match the name on your Marriott Bonvoy account to complete the transfer.
How to Transfer Marriott Bonvoy Points to Airlines
- Visit Marriott's Points Transfer to Miles page, click on "Transfer Points," then log in to your Marriott Bonvoy account.
- Select your preferred airline partner from the drop-down menu and enter your frequent flyer program number.
- Enter the number of points you wish to transfer (3,000 points to 240,000 points per day).
- Confirm the transfer, and your airline miles balance will update automatically.
You'll get a 5,000-mile bonus for every 60,000 points you transfer to most frequent flyer programs. This doesn't apply to American Airlines AAdvantage, Avianca LifeMiles, Delta SkyMiles, or Korean Air SKYPASS. United MileagePlus members get an even bigger bonus - 10,000 miles for every 60,000 points transferred.

Is It Worth It to Transfer Marriott Bonvoy Points to Airlines?
Transferring Marriott Bonvoy points to airlines usually isn't the best deal. For example, 3,000 Marriott points are worth about $24 on average, but the 1,000 miles you get might only be worth around $7.10 to $22.30, depending on the airline.
While it might be tempting, especially if you have leftover points, using Marriott points for hotel stays typically gives you better value than transferring them to airline loyalty programs. If you want to learn more, check out WalletHub’s in-depth review of the Marriott Bonvoy program.
