You can request missing American Airlines miles within 12 months of your flight date if they haven't posted to your AAdvantage account. For miles missing from non-airline partners, you'll need to reach out to the partner directly. After requesting your missing miles, it may take up to 10 days for miles from American Airlines flights to be credited to your account, and up to 30 days for miles from partner airline flights.
How to Claim Missing Miles on American Airlines
- Wait at least 3 days after your flight to allow time for miles to post automatically.
- Visit the American Airlines Request Flight Miles page to start your claim.
- Enter your AAdvantage number and the 13-digit ticket number from your flight. You can find the ticket number on your confirmation email, boarding pass, receipt, or credit card statement.
- Click "Continue" to submit your request for missing miles.
If you cannot find your ticket number or have trouble with the online form, you can call AAdvantage customer service at 800-433-7300 for assistance.
