You can get Marriott Lifetime Status by staying a minimum of 250 qualifying nights at Marriott hotels and earning any Marriott Elite status level for at least 5 years. The more nights you stay and the longer you're an Elite member in Marriott Bonvoy, the higher your Lifetime Status level will be.
Qualifications for Marriott Lifetime Elite Status:
- Lifetime Silver Elite: 250 Elite Night Credits + 5 years Silver Elite status or higher
- Lifetime Gold Elite: 400 Elite Night Credits + 7 years Gold Elite status or higher
- Lifetime Platinum Elite: 600 Elite Night Credits + 10 years Platinum Elite status or higher
Eligibility for all 3 of Marriott’s Lifetime Elite statuses is calculated based on the total number of years that you have earned Elite status, and the total qualifying nights you have stayed at Marriott properties – called “Elite Night Credits.” The most common way to earn Elite Night Credits is by staying at a participating Marriott hotel or resort. Typically, you earn 1 Elite Night Credit for each night you stay, including both paid and award stays, as long as it’s billed to you personally. It is also possible to earn Elite Night Credits with Marriott co-branded credit cards or by hosting meetings and events at Marriott properties.
After earning any of the Marriott Lifetime Elite statuses, Bonvoy members won’t have to worry about re-establishing their status year after year. Though no extra benefits come with a Lifetime Elite status, Lifetime earners will enjoy the regular benefits of their Elite status tier for many years to come.
You can view your Lifetime status progress by logging into your Bonvoy account on the Marriott website or the Marriott mobile app.
