You can transfer Marriott points in increments of 1,000 to another member from your Marriott Bonvoy account online. Once the transfer is complete, the points will be available in the recipient’s account within 24 hours.
How to Transfer Your Marriott points to Another Member
- Visit the Marriott Bonvoy transfer page and log in to your account.
- Click the “Transfer Points” from the available options.
- Enter the recipient’s name and any other required information as it appears on their Marriott Bonvoy account.
- Input the number of points you wish to transfer.
- Make sure all the information is entered correctly and submit your transfer request.
It’s important to keep in mind that Marriott doesn't charge a fee for transferring points.
You can transfer a minimum of 1,000 points, and up to 100,000 points per transaction, which is also the number of points you can send per year. Bonvoy members can receive up to 500,000 points per year from other members.
Convert Marriott Bonvoy Points to Airline Miles
You can also convert Marriott points to airline miles with participating transfer partners. This conversion can be done at a ratio of 3 to 1 with most programs, meaning you get 1,000 airline miles for every 3,000 Marriott points. Notably, this service is available with 38 participating airlines.
