I've loved my account! I first got my check card around a year ago, and it was quite a big deal at first. Since then, I've fallen in love. It's convenient and far easier to use than just cash. However, the most positive experience I've had has been these past two months, when I lost it. While the card was sitting between my friend's couch cushions, I was stressing for two months over potential identity theft, overdrafts, and general banking nightmares. About a month and a half after I lost the card, I realized - I can't overdraft this thing even if I try. I love the Regions policy where you can opt out of overdrafts - the card is rejected if there are insufficient funds. While Regions can't protect against carelessness, it can protect against theft, to some extent. It definitely helped I only had $4.00 on the card though!

My Regions checking account has been a no hassle situation. I get warnings if I’m near an overdraft, I have cheap ATM fees, and the customer service has always been quick and thorough. As a student, I don’t have a lot of cash flowing my way but it’s nice to have an account that seems rooted in helping me thrive and not fight me with fees and charges every step of the way. Very recommended!

I've only had one bad experience with Regions, and it wasn't even anything that was their fault. Other than that, everything has gone great with them. What happened was that I had a few unexpected expenses right at the end of the month. So with very little in my account, I had to pay rent, as well as having a few recurring payments all go through at the same time. I ended up going a couple hundred dollars negative in my account, including a few overdraft fees. I was able to get it back to normal pretty soon, though, and have had no problems since. On the whole I would definitely recommend them.

I have never had anything but good experiences with regions. They were my first bank, and always helped me get over the hurdles of first time banking. I had two incidents where I accidentally over drafted my account and they reimbursed the fees for me. They even gave me a checking book and taught me how to do my debits and credits so I knew exactly how much I had. There was even a time when my card as stolen and used. I disputed the charges and was reimbursed with no hassle and no hidden fees.

As a customer of this bank, I love it! I have had a checking account with a small town bank for years and I could not use my money as soon as deposited, I hated this! I started looking around for a better checking account and that is when I found Regions. I am a student and I thought that this would be a good fit. Here I am, 3 years after opening this checking account and my only regret is that I should have opened it sooner! If you are looking for a good bank, definitely choose Regions Bank!

This is an excellent first account for those in college and need a checking account. You can even opt in for electronic statements which are free. I accidentally ordered a amazon prime membership and used my card and had a negative balance and thought they would charge me for it even though I cancelled it immediately. I got a letter in the mail a few days later stating that since it was my first overdraft, I would not be charged for it.
