Takes to long for mobile deposited checks to go trough and having direct deposit from work doesn’t go through fast enough either , they are extremely slow

One of the worst banks ever

My whole experience with them was a nightmare. They would say one thing and do another.
Very difficult to deal with and total scammers.

I just got off the phone with Debra, Customer Service actual person at 9pm, Saturday. We had a pleasant conversation where an exchange of good will happened and mission accomplished. I noted this is an unique moment in my banking telephone life, and felt a higher platform of ethical practice: we don't have to sacrifice our humanity for efficiency. I love their Bloom account because they are doing my saving for me, and somebody had to do it.

Visited the location in Castle rock to cash a check that a customer of mine paid me with. Teller asked me for $10 to cash it and 2 forms of ID which was fine. He came back again and said that I need to provide my SSN and occupation both of which I felt was invasive and and an overreach. I'm not a youngster and have worked in and with the banking industry for a long time and I am surprised and angry that this bank is requiring these things.

What it does not say is there is an inactivity fee of $10/month. That would be $120/year for free checking! This seems to be a new fee as I have had accounts at 1stBank for over 20 years and suddenly balances on 2 accounts are reduced by fees. I have never in my life have had so many problems with a bank! At the branch the employees are very uneducated and they don't want to help you. Your bank is suppose to be on your side. Firstbank is not your friend. Even in your contract it states that they can and will close your account for any reason at anytime. This is not the bank for anyone. Think about it long and hard before letting this bank handle your money.

This is truly free at its finest. When they say free checking they mean just that- FREE CHECKING!! This was the reason I looked into this handy little bank,and let me tell you, I am glad I did. In addition to the free checking the online banking interaction is well organized. The most that I expected was a run of the mill bank... but the customer service that I encountered form da one, told me that was a carig place that goes beyond the ordinary. I love this pace and recommend it kindheartedly.

1st BANK is locally owned and operated with NO shareholders to make happy; plenty of Front Range locations and is one of the last banks to still offer a traditional overdraft line of credit. They also have the best customer service I have ever encountered at a bank or credit union. They also have very sneaky fees: for instance...free checking; however, after the first year, the Visa Debit card has a $10 annual fee....Chase, Wells Fargo and US Bank may not have "free: checking; however, with direct deposit, their fees are waived. Also, as they are a Front Range area bank, if you happen to need cash whilst visiting say, LA or Miami etc you will get hit with a foreign ATM fee...I know other banks do this but if you have Chase, BofA etc etc you have a very good chance at finding one of their ATM's free of charge in most states. Another con is their antiquated online account management. It gets the job done but it seems very old.

Overall, I love 1st BANK because it has been in our family for years and I like the traditional feel that they have; however, with Chase, Wells Fargo and US Bank in our own backyard with fewer fees, it is increasingly hard to recommend 1ST BANK.

I have really enjoyed using my 1st Bank checking account. It has been the easiest account that I have ever opened and not having to pay a monthly maintenance fee to manage my money is a great perk. It is extremely convinient to pay my bills online through my account and I rarely have to order checks because I always use my Visa debit card everywhere I go. I have only had one issue which was resolved rather quickly but I feel it could have been faster. I had to dispute a charge and it took 3 days to get the temporary credit where my old bank it was instant. I'm just glad it was fixed and the customer service during this experience was great.

I love 1ST bank. I have my check directly deposited into my account. I am normally the first person at work that has there check already every pay day. I have the Totally free checking account. Unlike other banks I have used, they are really nice and all of the tellers know there jobs well. I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to cash checks or to purchase stamps. They are also really nice about letting me buy quarters so I can do my laundry. Some banks give you a hard time.
