Apple Bank Checking Accounts

If compared to other banks, the customer service is not helpful. In the branches, there is a very limited transaction count. There are better banks to save your money. Not recommended.

Apple Bank Bethpage - It is a pleasure to walk into the inviting branch on Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage. The branch has a professional and warm ambiance. The biggest asset, however, is its manager, Sunitha (Sunny) Joseph. Her warm personal assistance is a welcoming advantage to stay with the bank. Her eagerness to help you get the best banking experience is second to none.
Her bright and cheerful smile helps make my day. I recommend Apple Bank for their services but even more so for their branch manager, Sunitha Joseph.

I was really excited about opening an account at Apple Bank, because I can remember as a kid my mom had an account there. However, I didn't realize there technology or practices would still be the same. If you dispute a claim....your funds could take up to 90 days to be put back into your account. Also, cash deposits made at any Apple Branch will take up to 5 days to post your account. The control over your money is not in the hands of this bank, that is not acceptable. No, I would not recommend this bank to a friend And I will be searching for a new bank home.

This review is about the 4 Irving Place Branch in Manhattan.
I have had many accounts at this bank for the past 30+ years - CD’s, checking, savings, etc. The service was always friendly, professional and competent.
The staff at the bank has completely changed. When I call to speak to a manager or assistant manager, they can never come to the phone. They are in the restroom, on a break, at lunch, in a meeting, it’s their day off.
Consistently no manager comes to the phone.
The “modern” ATM machine which is supposed to scan checks for deposit (no envelope or deposit slip required) does not work well. The machine cannot read the checks at least 80% of the time. I get a message “invalid check” and the machine spits out the rejected check. I have to ask for another transaction, re-enter my pin, and try again.
Last night was the limit. I spent 30 minutes inserting an reinserting 8 checks until the machine finally accepted them.
I have repeatedly called the manager about this issue. They said they would “talk to the tech” about it.
They have not solved the problem. They suggest that I come into the bank to make my deposits in person or send it through the US Postal Service.
What?
How about installing a better ATM machine that can actually scan and read a check in 2022?
They just performed a system upgrade, but did not install a new ATM machine that can read checks well. I do not attempt to deposit cash there. Perhaps it can read US bills better than it reads checks.
Take your business elsewhere unless you live right around the block and can get there by 4 pm most days to do your banking.
Extremely inconvenient because the single ATM is at the branch does not perform as it should.

they are a bank which is impossible to work with dont use them if you have already an account switch to another bank asap

This bank sucks There service is horrible and rude no customer service I been fighting with them for a year to get some very simple information and they refuse to give it to me I have contacted federal agency to help me because of them I have lost 20,000 dollars they refuse to help me to get this money back. They also did not responded to the federal request. for them to give me the information need to pursue my case. This is horrible bak with no custmer service and rude to boot

One day on my way to work I stopped by the bank to withdraw money. The ATM kept giving me an error message and instructed me to call customer service. Since I needed to know my account balance and the bank was already closed for the day I called customer service while walking to work from the bank. Someone answered the phone in a reasonable amount of time and initially the agent seemed nice. She asked me for my checking account number, which I did not have because I do not carry bank statements to work with me. She refused to let me use the numbers on my debit card to access my account. She also refused to let me access my account by personal information. She insisted that the only way she can pull up my record is by account number and could not make any exceptions. I have accounts with a few banks and have never heard anything like this before. I did not have time to argue with her or wait to speak to a manager so I ended the call. Later that night the ATM was working so I was able to check my balance and withdraw money. I like the protection of information but if I can't even access my account in an emergency what's thepoint of having an account?

This was my first joint checking account with my partner. To be honest, I was pretty nervous about this and although their checking account is pretty much the same as other checking accounts, their staff really put my mind at ease. They spent time talking me through the exact differences between a personal and joint account, the benefits and drawbacks to both, and helped me understand everything thoroughly. I really appreciate the time, care and attention they offered to me and my partner.

The service at Apple Bank is great! I love all the hassle free options for accounts and they always take great care of me when I have a problem or a question. I always recommend Apple Bank to my friends and family. I have been a loyal customer for some time now and have no intentions of leaving any time soon! My account is awesome and I always know that my money is being very well taken care of. I would suggest banking with Apple Bank to anyone who wants to feel financially secure.
