Cortland Ohio Branch- Ive been with them 10 yrs Its a good Bank but they always only have 2 workers so thrres a long wait! And the Worst part is you cant make deposits through their ATM which would help on having to stand in line for 15 minutes!!! One time I actually stood in libe for 30 minutes. Its very very frustrating!!! Woodforest Please get up with the current times and get DEPOSIT on your ATM. People have jobs children shopping to do! I was late for work standing in line! I have has accounts with Woodforest for about a decade. They have always been extreamly helpful, honest, and friendly. I do most things online, but any time i have visted a location they have been fantastic to work with. I would recommend this bank to anyone looking to build a relationship with a bank.
I have been with Woodforest for over 2 years. Recently, i had a $300.00 charge that I did not authorize. I disputed it AND changed my bank information. When i called a week later i was told this was found to be a valid purchase which was not accurate. I will be closing this account once my direct deposit olinformation is finalized. The online customer service is extremely unhelpful as well. Very poor bank.
I HATE this bank! Every time I have to log in- it's a nightmare! Why cant I just log in with my username and password? Why do I have to log into my email account and answer security questions that I give answers to and it still does not allow me in... every time! And I always have to call them for some reason that should not be necessary. The programs are a hassle and the customer service gives results that they do not have anything in place to resolve!! For instance: I needed to make a same day payment to a law firm that requires my billing zip code to be on file... Well, Woodforest did not have this in place for my debit card and when they updated it they told me that it would be 48 hours before it would be updated!!! That meant that I would not be able to make the payment I needed to make (SAME DAY) via my debit card. Something that should of been a ten minute process has turned into an hour (including this), not to mention I still have not been able to make my payment and need to figure it out. I really need to switch back to Chase, Bank of America, or Wells Fargo- stick with the big banks!…show more
Worst bank ever!! They stoled $316 dollars from me today on a closed account that been closed since 1/16/19 and today they took that amount today that is 1/31/19. I wouldn't bank with them cause they will not inform you of nothing about whats going on!!
Nothing is safw when they print their debit cards at the bank. Yes it is convenient but ibe had to pay for new debit cards cuz there was duplicates of mine, money was coming out of my account. Right now they owe me $600+ and im still waiting. Tired of this shit 4real.
I called last week because someone had gotten into my account. I have been waiting over 4 days for them to email me a dispute form to no avail. Today I called and spoke with Sherrill #19417 with the corporate office in The Woodlands and she was very rude and aggressive. I know some might not care because this is not their account that has been tampered with but to no have money and also not have a debit card is a big deal especially for someone who works check to check. I opened my business bank account with Woodforest bank in the middle of August. I logged onto my online banking this morning and noticed that my account balance is $0 and that there was a cashier's check issued from my account yesterday, which I did not authorize. I called customer service only for them to tell me my account is closed and they can't see any information regarding my account. No one has called me or anything. I called one of the local branches in which they said my account is closed and that one of the branch managers would take a look at my account and call me back in 10 min. I am still waiting for a call. I may have to reach out to my attorney and talk about the possibility of filing a suit against them. This is unethical and bad business. I will definitely be informing other business owners of my experiences with Woodforest National Bank. I do not recommend them at all. May 24th 2018. I have been with this Bank a little over 2 years and visit different branches located inside of local Walmart to do most of my banking. Please explain to me why I have a balance in my account to cover the check that I am trying to cash from a friend and my bank wants to place a 7-Day hold on it and will not cash it because it has never been there before. The young lady told me that she could not verify the check I thought she meant she called my friends Bank to verify that those funds were available which they are but no she does not mean that she means verify by confirming if that check has been cashed at their bank before. NO! So are you telling me that anytime I take an outside check with a personal, business or commercial or whatever kind of check I need to have cashed to my own bank who I trust with my own money, I have to have it help for 7 days are you kidding me. Plus the recourse of that same amount is already in the account so if that check did not clear my bank would not be on the hook for it because my funds could cover it! All I can say about Woodforest Bank is that they are not a bank of the people they are a bank that is ONLY out for themselves. This is a bank that only works one way they...and treat their customers like they are second-class citizens just because they are a second chance Bank. Not all the customers that use you guys are Second Chance customers. Loser Low Level fake bank!!!! Oh how could I forget. EARLIER AT KIRKWOOD LOCATION.... I went to the ATM machine and was trYING TO WITHDRAW $500 FROM MY ACCOUNT WITH ANOTHER BANK and all twenties came out EXCEPY one was a $10 bill !!!!!.... I immediately walked over to the counter and showed them the money and they said I have to file a dispute with my bank that I used on that specific transaction . I asked them to pull the camera and look and see because there's a camera on the ATM machine and one directly over your head and you can see that this is what I pulled out......$490.....the $10 bill should have been a $20 bill. I’ve had woodforest checking for about 6 months. Had my ups and downs and feelings about them. The bad is no matter whether you opt in or out of overdraft fees. You have one NSF go through they charge you 29$ fee( paid 60$ last week to cover my short coming. Not putting it on the bank at all ) The good is the level of convenience they offer. On the spot issue debit cards if you lose or damage yours. Their ATMs are a little dated and would love to see a cash deposit feature in the future. They have a night drop box which is kind of old school in 2018. I’ve had several banks PNC, CHASE, etc. I like woodforest because they release direct deposit a day early in all honesty. Don’t believe all the negativity you read on the internet. If you can handle your finances and need a bank woodforest will help you out.…show more
