Extremely frustrating and disproportionate experience
I had been a loyal customer for years, and my experience with GreenFi took a very disappointing turn over a simple question. I asked who opened a checking and savings account on my profile. Both accounts had a $0 balance and no activity. Instead of getting a clear answer, I was met with months of delays, multiple phone calls, and no real explanation.
Now I have been told my profile is under a "risk lock," I have no visibility into my investment accounts, no ability to manage them normally, and I am limited to manual liquidation requests only. On top of that, I have not been provided statements or tax documents, so I am left completely in the dark about my own accounts.
What makes this so frustrating is the overreaction. A basic inquiry about account ownership should not result in a customer losing access to their accounts and being treated as a problem rather than given answers. If there were no funds involved and no activity, this should have been easy to clarify and resolve.
Customer service has been slow, vague, and unhelpful. At this point, the biggest issue is not just the restriction itself, but the lack of transparency and the failure to answer a straightforward question. I expected far better.

No issues with the product or GreenFi. I love the climate angle, and they've been releasing some cool new features recently. Bring back the credit card, please!

GreenFi is a scam. They hold your money indefinitely and use it to fund their lending and investment programs. Going on three months now, they've held my funds, and support is useless. Every one of them tells a different story.

GreenFi took my money and will not give it back.
GreenFi closed my account without explanation after I transferred money into it. They withdrew $150 from my bank account, then shut down my account and locked me out.
Their support team told me the transfer would be rejected and the money would be returned. That never happened. After I followed up, they changed their story and claimed my funds were now "frozen" while they "determine ownership," even though I am the one who opened the account and sent the money.
There is no dispute, no third party, and no reason for this hold. GreenFi simply took my money and has refused to return it.
This is not a mistake; it is a failure of their systems and their compliance process. A financial company should never be able to close your account and keep your funds with no explanation.
I would not trust GreenFi with a single dollar.

I am fully employed by a law enforcement agency for over 20 years. My FICO score is 800+. GreenFi abruptly closed my accounts without clear explanations. I plan to file legal action so that they will be compelled to explain to a judge why my accounts were closed without real justification.

I just signed up for GreenFi's checking account, and right after my first transfer was sent from my old bank, they decided to close my account. When you call the number, they tell you to respond to the email, but no one ever replies.

Horrible service and good luck trying to close an account. They make you call, then send you an email, you fill out a form, and hope they receive the form.

Aspiration Bank is the worst banking service I've ever used. In the 8 months I had an account, I fell victim to multiple fraudulent charges. This bank cannot keep user information safe and secure. To add insult to injury, Aspiration refused to credit me back for some of the stolen money, trying to insist they were legitimate purchases. They were not and had taken place in a different state than where I resided. I had to threaten them with legal action to get my stolen money returned to me. As soon as they credited back my stolen funds, I closed my account for good. I implore you to save yourself the headache and find a better banking option. They're not worth it.

Should be illegal for them to remain in business. Opened my line @ $17k, charged a small balance and paid the minimum for 3 months. Card was randomly blocked, had to call a dozen times to get a resolution, and the only way they were willing to unblock the card was by lowering the limit to $6100.
This account was then closed 4 months later, after keeping all payments on time.
If you do not plan to pay the balance in full every single month, plan to have your card privileges revoked and the card marked as closed on your credit report.
This is a shady business and I expect them to close doors soon.

Worst customer service. They blocked my card for no reason and then won't unblock it. They won't answer their phone. They won't even send me a new credit card. That company sucks.

In addition, WalletHub independently collected information for some of the cards on this page.
No, the Aspiration Zero credit card does not have pre-approval. It's also worth noting that this card is no longer available to new applicants, as it was discontinued by the issuer.
You can, however, check out our editors' latest picks for the best pre-approved credit cards on the market to weigh your options.
The Aspiration Zero Credit Card credit limit is usually around $12,000 to start, according to forum posts, and some cardholders report limits as high as $40,000. Aspiration does not include any specific Aspiration Zero credit limit information in the card's terms, though.
For the most part, Aspiration Zero credit limits depend on each applicant's overall creditworthiness. Those with the highest income and best credit scores will generally be offered the highest starting credit limits.
The Aspiration Zero annual fee is $60. Aspiration Zero's $60 annual fee is higher than the average annual fee among new credit card offers right now. It's not the only fee you need to worry about with the Aspiration Zero, either.
No, the Aspiration Zero Card is not a good first-time credit card because it is only available to people with good credit or better. People who've never owned a credit card are unlikely to get approved unless they've built good credit through other means. There are plenty of good first-time credit cards on the market, though.
The Aspiration Zero is not a metal credit card, as it is made of plastic like most other credit cards. There's no functional difference between a plastic card like the Aspiration Zero Card and a metal credit card, though, so don't dismiss the Aspiration Zero Card just because it isn't metal. If you like the card's terms and benefits, you should still consider applying.
Metal credit cards are usually expensive luxury cards. Some popular examples of metal...
