Discover has always been good to me. I receive an average of 3% cashback as well as up to 5:% on select purchases.
In addition Discover provides $200 cashback with the purchase of $500 or more within first 3 months of obtaining the card. Oh, not to mention the great customer service and being widely accepted. I have never personally ran into any merchant not accepting Discover.

Great experience and easy to use! Would recommend especially if you are trying rebuild your credit score or create from scratch. Very happy with this card.

This is my first credit card as a college student. It was easy to open. Since I never miss a payment I have perfect credit as a young adult, highly recommend to anyone starting out.

As a student, I felt it was finally time to get my first credit card to begin building a good credit history early on. While in college, there are many times when I have the need to pay for something that I may not have the funds for at the time. This card satisfies that need perfectly. There are a few incentives that made this Discover IT card extremely attractive to me. First, the $20 student bonus that I receive every year if I can maintain a >3.0 GPA during school. This gives me motivation to do well in school knowing I will be rewarded for my hard work. Also, the card offers a 1% cashback bonus on every purchase and 5% on various categories that rotate quarterly. This bonus can be used as a statement credit to pay down your balance or deposited directly into your bank account. Another benefit would be the card's freezing option. If your card is lost or stolen, you can go online and freeze the card to prevent unwanted purchases instantly. If a friend came to me saying that he/she was interested in in getting a credit card, I would undoubtedly recommend this card.

I like this card for the rewards (I usually apply to Amazon purchases) and it's not hard to get. I have had the card for about 6 months now and have never had any problems or issues. The one thing I don't like is how you have to sign up for the special categories online to get the extra percentage off, but if you remember to do it, that 5% REALLY adds up, and is a lot better reward than most cards offer. The only other negative would be that Discover isn't accepted everywhere, but it is in more and more places.

I have had this card for 6 years and I have only good things to say about it. I really like the fact that they have excellent cash back rewards including 1% on all purchases and 5% on certain categories of things that I frequently purchase, including gas, online purchases and home improvement. I also like that they have a $50 bonus when you refer a friend, which is an easy way to make more money. Additionally, they have no foreign transaction fee in some countries, which has been helpful when I have traveled, however Discover is not as widely accepted as Visa in many foreign countries.

I got this credit card once I entered college when I turned 18, and it was the card that initially helped me establish my credit score. I like the perks that are associated with the card, like money back and discounts on websites. I would rate this card as average if you are looking at earning rewards. I earn better rewards on a different credit card I have. I also do not like that some places do not accept discover. But this card will always have a special place in my heart for helping me establish good credit. They have late payment forgiveness and low monthly payements.
