Please distance yourself from them quickly!
I obtained a loan from them and after five years of making payments, when the loan matured, they refused to extend it, putting myself, my wife, and my seven children at risk of homelessness.
I requested to speak with the CEO, and he declined to have a conversation with me, indicating extremely poor customer service.
A customer service representative informed me over the phone that the CEO would not communicate with me and that the board, led by the CEO, decided that if I don't repay them within 30 days, they will initiate foreclosure proceedings, and we could lose our home.
How incredibly sad and upsetting! It's truly heartbreaking.
I regard this CEO as thoroughly malevolent.
Their website purports to support the community, but in my view, it seems they only care about their own interests and not those of the community. To me, it appears they do not care about anything or anyone except their CEO and board.
At 61 years of age, owning two commercial properties, and having approximately 45 years of experience with banks and credit unions, I have never encountered an incident like this.
The credit union's decision to foreclose on my family and me with only a 30-day extension was particularly distressing.
This forced us to secure a hard money loan with an 11% interest rate plus nearly 4 points and other costs, as opposed to the 4% rate that Arrowhead offered us before expelling us from their credit union.
I intend to consult with an attorney to explore the possibility of suing them for their actions against a family with seven children.
We had to pay about $200,000 just to secure a hard money loan, not to mention the added interest of 11%.
Shame on you, Arrowhead. I plan to bring this matter before a civil court soon.
With all due respect to the Yelp readers reviewing my comments, I believe that if you engage with this business or deposit any money into this institution, you are making a serious mistake and could encounter significant problems and hardships like my family did.
Please, I implore you to consider your options carefully before it is too late.
Do not merely walk away from Arrowhead and the CEO; I urge you to run as fast as possible!

Which credit union is better between Arrowhead and Thinkwise?
Arrowhead Credit Union and Thinkwise Credit Union are both California-based, NCUA-insured, not-for-profit institutions that prioritize member benefits over profits.
Arrowhead is a larger, more established credit union with broader eligibility and a wider branch network, making it well-suited for those seeking comprehensive services and competitive rates. Thinkwise is smaller, education-focused, and emphasizes community ties. It's often praised for attentive customer service, though its scale is more limited.
If you value a larger institution with more branches, broader eligibility, and potentially better rates, consider Arrowhead Credit Union. It's ideal for general banking needs and offers solid financial backing. However, if you work in education, prefer a community-oriented experience with personalized service, and don't require a large branch network, Thinkwise Credit Union may be a better fit.
Before making a decision, be sure to take a look at the best credit union options available and choose the one that best matches your needs and goals.
