When Cardinal Financial started, it set out with the intention of creating a better mortgage experience. Wish I could give them a zero. The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. They for over a year now have been overcharging me assessing my taxes at $13,000 a year when they have received my tax bill from my township showing it is only $7,000 a year. For months and months they have not adjusted my payments giving me the run around every single time. I call once every 2 weeks to fix it and nothing is ever done. I HIGHLY do NOT recommend this company. STAY FAR AWAY

I had an amazing experience with the team I worked closely with to become a first time home buyer who didn’t think she had a chance to buy one day soon become a real life turn around because they have lower standards then most banks and they are willing a ready to service your every move and I was very impressed with how well they worked and they were fast like freaky fast I closed on our home with in 28 days now that’s fast they shocked the heck out of my realtor and they are hands down the best company to go with for fist time home buyer or heck just anyone really! Thanks cardinal you gave us our wings to fly when we thought we’d never get to fly and now we’re flying higher than we would have imagined and I am so blessed to have you all over our home loan. Thank you Taylor from Arizona location you worked so hard and worked hard for us and we are very grateful for you.

dealing with the for the past 18 months and all i get is excuses . i did as they asked of me and after killing about 100 trees they said oh sorry We need you to start over and send in the paper work again. FOR THE 8TH TIME mind you. Now when i sold my home and i askes for the pay off they jacked the price up another 16k, when i called them and asked why they did that sue old me that the pay off was false and the added yet another 3,500 to the pay off so thats an additional 19,500 on to the pay off. SO TO ANYONE WANTING A LOAN FROM THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY Think twice turn around and run like heck to a better mortgage company. One that treats you like a person instead of an inconvenience.

Our home was flooded in fort myers by hurricane Ian. Our insurance company did a great job. They were able to set up our claim, send an adjuster out to write up a report and issue an emergency check so we could get our house dry to stop the mold. However once we received our check we had to send it to Cardinal finance to get them to enforce it over. We paid 90.00 to send it via Fed ex 2day. Cardinal has now had our check for 12 days. They still have not used the return Fed ex envelope so I know the check is not on the way. So much for emergency money to help save our house. Cardinal is the worse mortgage company ever. The news is blaming insurance companies for being so slow. I think they should be informed it the mortgage companies is some cases. 14 days and still no signature..unbelievable!!

I have been mailing my monthly mortgage check since inception (about 15 months) and last month for some reason the check didn't show up. So I called and paid over the phone, was charged a late fee and Cardinal added an additional credit card transaction charge. The next day I called my bank, cancelled the check (fortunately I wasn't charged a cancelled check fee). Amazingly the check shows up and Cardinal tries to process it. The check is refused and Cardinal sends me a letter telling me the check was refused. While this was all happening, I was receiving confusing updated statements reflecting varying amounts of owed payments. A few months prior to this, I found out that Cardinal offers automatic withdrawal, so I went online and applied (no one at Cardinal told me about the service during the mortgage application process). I thought I was done until I received a letter from Cardinal shortly afterwards requesting I fill out a paper application and provide a voided check (which I did although it took me a few months to get around to it). The application said that I would be notified when the automatic withdrawal will start. I mailed in my next mortgage payment and separately sent the paperwork for the automatic withdrawal at the same time. And guess what - Cardinal processed the check and did an automatic withdrawal on the same day (I received no notification about when automatic withdrawal was going to start). Fortunately I have overdraft protection so I was able to cover the unplanned second mortgage payment but got hit with an overdraft fee. The application process was good, the rate was good however you need to be prepared to deal with a servicing process that is in desperate need of improvement and if you're not careful will cost you hundreds of extra dollars.
As a follow-up, Cardinal reimbursed us for the late fee and the credit card charge. Restored my faith in Customer Service. I know life is full of problems and its nice when you can find a Company that ensures its Customers are happy.

Will never do business with Cardinal Financial again. Completely takes the personal touch out of the process, they only care about one thing....getting you on the hook and getting your money. Even after we signed hard copies of the closing 26 Aug 2022 they sent us electronic documents via octane that were dated 18 Aug 2022 and wanted us to sign those also??? Even though it was redundant we would have done it IF the documents were the same. The numbers varied so which ones were valid and which are they going to try and enforce. Signed all the documents and paid an additional $20 for a wire transfer...three business days have passed and still no pending transfers showing in our banking account. We will not even discuss how they made us take out flood insurance, we have been building single resident houses to live in on this land for 15 years, three separate mortgages over the span and never required flood insurance until now. Not a good experience with this company at all.. bad thing is we are not even done with them yet.

Cardinal Financial was a great company to work with during my first time home buyer experience. Having a busy schedule made it hard to even start the process of home buying but Manuel (Manny) Gonzalez assured me that he would communicate with me at anytime that was convenient for me and he was extremely thorough which made the processes even easier. We finished a 30 day escrow in just 13/15 days! I highly recommend this company for anyone that is looking to get a home loan.

This company is totally corrupt. They sold my mortgage to another lender which is understandable so they no longer hold my loan . I had them as a assignee to my life insurance policy and now a I'm asking them is to sign off on the policy so I can transfer for it to my new lender. It's been 3 months and they refuse to acknowledge my request. All it takes is a qualified senior officer to sign the release forms and send it back to my life insurance carrier. They are the worst company ever to do business with and would never recommend them to anyone looking to refinance!!! They caused me a great deal of anxiety and been to my heart doctor several times.

We used a realtor that was recommended by Cardinal Financial because it was supposed to come with a credit of 1% of the loan amount. After using the realtor recommended by Cardinal, I was told that the realtor wasn't part of their referral program and they wouldn't honor the 1% that was promised. They said it was an honest mistake but did not offer any concessions to make up for their error, costing us around $5,500. I judge a company on how they handle their mistakes, not if they make mistakes, and they showed how little they actually care about their customers with the way they handled the situation. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

It doesn't seem to be that way. The only way they can have positive reviews is by paying someone to flood this with fake positive reviews. Read the 1-2 star reviews. That is where the true can be found.
