Working with Cardinal Financial has been an absolute nightmare. Zero communication skills whatsoever. Nobody does their job. I can never get ahold of anybody I need to speak to. Was supposed to close on my home today, so we showed up to the title company only to find out they canceled our closing. They didn’t feel like letting us know I guess. Closing has been pushed back 3 times because of lack of communication and unprofessionalism. Hopefully, we can close next week? I 100% regret getting a loan through cardinal.

Started out ok but very poor customer service was very difficult to work with through hard times messed up our credit report because we asked for an extension we never got that's right they sent negative info to the credit bureau and we hadn't even finalized anything and ended up not needing the break !!!

I have wasted all this time and resources just to realize you guys didn't approve of the loan I had my credit score up u asked me to take the disputes and then my credit dropped. I thought the interest rate was locked so why will they recheck. Like I said I don't trust these a lot of these mortgage companies. They discriminate and very dishonest more than half of the time. I have to request and rash payoff statements to you twice. This is so bad. Ridiculous Phan!!!. Very inhumane of you guys. May God bless your company.

Liars and time wasters. They won't close your loan, ever. They asked for dozens of documents that I gave almost immediately, and never gave final approval. After weeks of no updates on approval, I finally told them I need an answer because my purchase agreement was expiring.. they denied my loan and then lied about why I was denied out of spite to void my deposit. Predatory lending at the core. Stay away.

We had a great team at Cardinal - we extended our offer on 11/27/20 ... it was accepted on 11/29/20 and we closed on 1/5/2020...40 days. When the underwriter would ask for something we did our part and turned it around most times the same day. Updates were a little slow during the holidays but that’s to be expected. We couldn’t have asked for a better team Brad Hamblen is a fantastic loan officer to work with.

This bank has the absolute worst mortgage and customer service team in the history of banking. Moved our closing date three times, after asking for a never ending slew of paperwork. Never followed through on a single timeline or promise. Paid for appraisal. Denied right before closing.
I am now trying to get my denial letter so I can get my earnest deposit back and hitting more brick walls. No timeline. More excuses.
Update: got my denial letter and they purposely LIED on it to try and prevent us from getting our escrow back. I will be filing a federal complaint. Good luck proving what you said on the denial letter, and enjoy your fine.
Run away from this company so they won't waste your time or money.
Cardinal- don't give me the reply that you want me to contact you to make things right. We have called every customer service number we can find, and you dont care.

They may have competitive rates BUT their customer service (non-service) is abysmal. Useless, unhelpful email or "online request" replies - mostly asking you to call. And the Wait times are horrendous. Even after 1 hour (60 minutes of my life) no one picked up during working hours. Find someone else - for both your blood pressure AND avoid wasting the remaining hours of your life.

I did a refinance in May of 2020, We asked that an escrow be setup. I have emailed called and Facebook messaged without a response. I sent all my tax forms as I should have, and you failed to complete this or even get back to me. Now our taxes are going to Lien because you couldn't do what was requested. You are a terrible company how could you not respond to a customer?

We are currently at the end of a rate extension. Our rate expired after our mortgage officer took a week off and we had no returned phone calls, e mails or texts from anyone on our loan team. It seems there was an issue in underwriting and rather than informing us so it could be corrected, our loan was kicked out of the system. Since our loan officer was on vacation, no one told us anything. So, here we are at the end of that rate extension and still no closing. We have provided every document needed and promptly e signed all documents. We have no idea when we will close and are not at all sure if it ever will. I regret starting this process with Cardinal.
