What's Your Rating?
Do not trust Chime to keep your money secure.
The transactions were being used for $0.49 here, $0.49 there, $1.35, $4.50 there, and $2.89 there for online games such as Bubble Burst, Words with Friends, and some other childish games, which came to a grand total of $244.76, which put my account in a negative for $4.76.
When I questioned Chime, they said they would conduct an investigation. After two days, they claimed that I made these transactions. Now, keep in mind, all these transactions were made from 12:04 to 12:06 PM. I work at a nursing home from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, so there is no way I would have made these purchases.
When I called Chime again and expressed my disbelief, they simply said, "Sorry, but the person who received the money claimed you made these purchases." As a result, they chose to believe them over the person who has had the account for the last two years.
With this being said, I would not recommend Chime to anybody. If you encounter them, please stay away. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired, and on top of them not speaking English very well, their security department is a joke. How they let accounts be compromised so quickly without flagging suspicious activity is beyond me. In other words, it's like juveniles are running Chime.
So, if you want to lose money, or have them potentially mishandle your funds, then continue using Chime. But if not, find another company and stay far away from Chime.
