This is a deceitful company. Seriously, do not do business with them. What they do is perform fake audits, requiring you to submit pay reports as if it were for a Worker's Compensation Policy. This occurred about three months after I cancelled my policy, which I had held for about nine months.
Even though my employees all earned less than what my insurance agent had reported, which theoretically should have lowered my rate and entitled me to a refund, they decided to charge me approximately three months' worth of rates for all of my employees after I had cancelled the policy. I should add that I never even had a claim, not a single one.
If I don't pay, my credit gets damaged, so they essentially have me trapped.
Seriously, do not do business with Acuity!

Dog Discrimination - We were declared uninsurable for a home and auto policy because our dog is part Doberman. She is a 30 pound mixed breed, but because her face looks like a Doberman we can't be insured. I think its disturbing that this is a growing trend among insurance companies. Any one that owns or cares about dogs should not do business with companies who discriminate against a family member purely on the basis of genetics and not past history or temperament.

I recently switched my insurance to Acuity and have only had them now for under a month. I am currently excited about the change. I am getting more coverage and paying less. Also my last insurance company billed me separately for my auto and home insurance. Acuity bills them together in one premium making my payments much simpler. They also have more options for the increments of my premium payments. My last insurance billed 3 times in 6 months but I never knew when the bill was coming. Acuity makes it easier with the extra options and letting me know far enough in advance when I am expected to make the payment.
