American Modern Insurance is a totally dishonest and deceptive company that will scour your contracts for any possible way to deny you coverage. We purchased homeowners insurance with 100k for loss of property. When we were burglarized, they first claimed that they would not cover us because there was no sign of forced entry. When the Sheriff confirmed that there was forced entry they then claimed they would not cover us, citing a buried clause in the contract stating that they do not cover loss of personal items during a theft but only damage done to the house during the theft. If you buy this insurance they WILL FIND A WAY TO SCREW YOU. Avoid this company at all costs or drop if you currently have.

American Modern lets you customize your policy a lot more than other companies. Agents accidentally and/or purposely quote without certain coverages making the rate less. The customer is so excited to have affordable coverage. It's only after something happens that the hole in coverage is learned about by the customer - after it's too late. It's like getting mad at the kitchen for something the server did.

My mom got screwed by this company! SENIORS BEWARE!! If you have “AMERICAN MODERN Insurance Group” please cancel your policy and find a reputable insurance company immediately; because if you have damage they will give you every excuse there is to deny your claim. All they are doing is stealing our money and sitting around a large conference table thinking/writing down loophole after loophole to deny our claims. With each and every denial they keep more money in their pockets and we have more expense. Please - I’m speaking from experience. I had interior water damage and roof damage and they denied me - Beacause I didn’t have a visable hole you could see or fall through! (Thank God)! I couldn’t believe it!! I even sent Andreas Kleiner, CEO and President of American Modern Insurance Group an email asking for his help in reviewing and approving my claim. Mr. Kleiner didn’t even care enough to respond to me personally, he just had other people call me and reiterate how you can't actually see through my roof, therefore my damages aren't covered and “my claim is denied!” I must admit it makes me wonder why we even bother to pay for house insurance? We pay and pay faithfully year after year and when we do have damage we not only suffer the losses, but the expenses of fixing it ourselves because our claim is denied! Remember the hard earned money you’re paying to “AMERICAN MODERN Insurance Group” (which adds up to billions of dollars a year) allows them to sit in their big offices, go on expensive vacations and live in million dollar homes! Please take heed “QUIT AMERICAN MODERN INSURANCE GROUP” stop giving them your money because they will not help you when you need them the most!! **I GIVE THEM ZERO STARS**

This is the worst insurance company you could ever select. I was given a choice of this insurance company or a few others when I left State Farm because of their high prices for my home. I took the insurance and after four years of having no claims I had a bad leak from at an old roof. The adjuster that came that came out was extremely rude and nasty and I made my mind up then I would change insurance. The basic bottom line is that after my roof was fixed I was pushed to take a Roofer who now is out of business after two years of the roof being on my house. My roof two years old is now leaking and all nails are coming up on the roof. So I changed to Allstate . Allstate wants the roofer who is now out of business who was in contract with AMIG to fix the roof but he is no longer in business and is not bonded or insured. Does anybody know a good attorney I can sue AMIG for the lousy coverage and the lousy follow up. Whatever you do do not select AMIG as insurance. Go to farmers insurance and ignore Allstate because they will do anything to keep from paying the claim even though it’s very legitimate. I now sit here with part of my house that is still leaking and damaged and recently renovated which will now have to be renovated again thanks for the poor roofing job done by the contractor with AMIG. Run for your life

WORST of the worst company. Do NOT buy their policy to save few bucks, it's not worth it. At the time of any claim, you will regret it greatly. They don't pay for claims. They take extremely long time to process claims, why, because their legal team is searching for excuses for not to pay for claims. Their policy documents are written in such a language that they never have to pay for any claims. I don't know why this scam company is rated by AM best A+? It should be Z-. Run away as far as you can from AMIG. The company is operated by nothing but the CROOKS.

I paid my annual homeowners bill online. American Modern sent me a letter stating my credit card company had rejected payment. So, I paid it again with a different credit card. Then, my first credit card statement came through showing it had paid American Modern. Now I have paid my premium of $620 twice. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way to talk with a human being at their company to resolve the problem. My local agent is requiring all kinds of documentation so that she will be able to ask American Modern to refund the extra $620 to me. The double billing should not have happened in the first place. American Modern should make it easy for the customer to reach them to get things like this straightened out. I can’t imagine what a pain it would be if I ever actually had to file a claim with this company. I’m shopping other carriers and thinking about contacting my state insurance commissioner.

Worse "bottom of the barrell" insurance company ever. Horrible customer service. Many errors are made and they don't take responsibility. They try to cover up their errors with lies. They don't know the front of a house from the back of a house. Their staff is dishonest, untrained, uneducated and they do not do their jobs. Zero stars. My opinion and experience is they are a Worthless low life company.

I double paid my annual premium because between AMIG and my mortgage co someone dropped the ball and supervisor Tara White got on the phone and advised me I had to wait 21 days before they could issue a refund . She advised me that this is the process then another 7-10 business days to get the check. I told her the most a a bank holds a check is 7 business days what is the reasoning behind this and she advised that is the process. Tara also refuse to give who was above her and told me if I needed to complain .Complain to her about her. I shiver to think if I had a claim what would happen.

Do not use this Home Insurance company. the adjuster was not only rude , and refused to answer questions, but did not include enough to cover my homes damage. Adjuster used a water reader device that did not detect any moisture, although the entire floor had water damage under the rug and tile. They took a photo of the damaged floor under the home, but still would not list it as damaged. I had to call supervisor and ask for another adjuster. Hopefully adjuster#2 will cover my home damage. do not recommend American Modern, you wont get enough coverage to fix your damaged home. :(

I notice a Adjuster the one from Farm Beau just showed up on a holiday and sent in a check and was in the mailbox the deduct was $750 and we got a check for $250 and we have to get $250 to make $500 for the roofers to patch the roof

American Modern Classic Car Insurance Eligibility Requirements
