This company has caused me significant mental and financial stress. Their lack of care is evident at every step, from delays in processing to poorly trained representatives, to inadequate reimbursement that left me covering hundreds out of pocket. Even when supervisors admitted fault, they failed to make things right. I pay high premiums for coverage, yet they consistently provide the bare minimum. The disregard for customers is clear, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this company.
Full picture: My car has been stuck in the shop for a month because the body shop requested a supplement (another estimate), and I had to rent a car for two weeks. The company dragged their feet for two weeks with no urgency to get the appraiser moving. Despite repeatedly asking the adjuster and multiple customer service representatives about rental reimbursement, they failed to explain the policy procedure or how it would affect my claim. Even after the supervisor and his superior admitted they were in the wrong, they still issued a half-hearted check. I paid $1,200 out of pocket for my rental, and they only reimbursed $480—as if money grows on trees. Meanwhile, the appraiser refuses to account for damages from the accident I reported, and both the supervisor and adjuster back him up with excuses. To make matters worse, the supervisor tried to spin it as if they "sent me more than they should have," when in reality they only covered the bare minimum. I pay over $3,000 in premiums for this policy, and all I've gotten in return is stress, financial loss, and poor service. Zero stars if I could. Please do not take your chances with this insurance company; they are not trustworthy. This company is a nightmare. Zero out of ten, do not recommend.

Awful! They are so slow to respond. They are not helpful over the phone at all. No matter what car you drive, their rental coverage only covers the smallest and the crappiest car on any rental company's lot. Their repair estimates are very low, and they take forever to process supplemental claims! and if you leave your adjuster a message, rest assure he will not call you back.

About a month and a half ago, one of their insured drivers rear-ended my car. It took them two weeks to give me the first estimate and then, once a collision center reviewed it and found additional damage, they took three weeks to respond back. Every time there is communication that they are trying to deal with the insurance company, it takes weeks for them to reply.
Be ready for tremendous frustration when dealing with them. They talk to you politely, but they practically never pick up a call and never actually help. All they do is say it's under review, but it helps absolutely no one. Be ready for an incredibly bad experience. They do a very bad job. They are probably the worst insurance company ever.
Ideally, you would want an insurance company to help you in trouble, but dealing with this insurance company only doubles your trouble. If you are dealing with this insurance company, be sure that you are not going to have a good experience. They are really bad.
And honestly, to a certain extent, it feels like they are engaging in deceitful practices where they make someone's life so hard that they would rather use their own insurance or pay out of pocket than choose the frustrating and long path of working with them.

Why don't you respond to calls or text messages? My daughter is insured by you and was rear-ended in her brand new car. The at-fault insurance company has been the only way she's been able to get any information. Claims are confusing to someone who's never been in an accident. I am so sorry she chose United to insure her car. Your adjusters seem incompetent and quite rude at a time when she needs to be informed of what is happening with her claim. I certainly hope she doesn't have the experience these other reviewers have had.

This company is subpar; I canceled my policy before my next payment was due, and, to my surprise, they still charged me anyway. I called in to inquire about the situation, and they informed me that it takes 24 hours to process the cancellation, and then another 2 to 5 business days to review, whatever that means, the request for a refund. In addition, they said that the refund would be physically mailed to me. When I asked why they couldn't just deposit the refund, her smug answer was, "We don't work that way." Furthermore, the representatives could not have been more rude. Their names were Jasmin and Patricia. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would never recommend using this insurance company. Even if you are tight on money, which I understand, I highly recommend trying to find another insurance company.

This supposed insurance company is a joke. I was involved in an accident with their insured back in August 2024 and have yet to receive any type of compensation. The police report indicates it's their insured's fault. All required items were provided, and still, 7 months later, no resolution. I wish I could give them no stars.
I will have to move to file a suit if this doesn't get resolved because I will not pay for someone else's careless mistake.

"If I could give zero stars, I would. UAIG is by far the worst insurance company I've ever had to deal with. Five months ago, my parked car was hit by one of their insured drivers—a reckless woman who carelessly damaged my vehicle while getting out of her car. Luckily, I was in my car and witnessed everything, so I was able to get her insurance details.
What followed was an absolute nightmare. UAIG dragged out the case for over three months, and to make matters worse, the at-fault driver started lying—claiming she never even hit my car! Thankfully, I had text message evidence proving otherwise, and after a long, exhausting battle, she finally admitted fault. But did UAIG do the right thing and cover the damages fairly? Of course not.
They initially offered me a pathetic $350 for a dent and scratches when my body shop estimate was $1,900! After endless calls, complaints, and frustration, they finally paid most of it, but I was still left paying $170 out of pocket—for an accident that wasn't even my fault! On top of that, I'm still waiting to hear if they will cover my rental car expenses, which I need because I have a full-time job.
The worst part? You can't even avoid a company like this because you never know who's insured by them. If you ever get into an accident with a UAIG policyholder, prepare for an excruciating battle just to get what you rightfully deserve. Stay away from this company if you have a choice!"

I've never been more frustrated with an insurance company than I am with United Auto Insurance. My vehicle was involved in an accident in the first week of November, and here I am, over three months later, with no resolution in sight.
Here's what makes this even worse: 1. Unbelievable Delays: Three months is an unacceptable amount of time to process a claim. 2. Horrible Customer Service: Calling their customer service is a nightmare. Most of the time, they don't even answer the phone, and when they do, it's impossible to get any clear answers. 3. Complete Lack of Communication: They've made no effort to update me on my claim status or next steps. I've had to chase them down every step of the way. 4. Worst Service Ever: This is hands-down the most frustrating, inefficient, and unprofessional experience I've ever had with any company.
I trusted United Auto Insurance to handle my claim responsibly, but they've shown nothing but incompetence. If you're looking for reliable insurance, stay away from United Auto Insurance—their customer service is non-existent, and they don't seem to care about their customers.
United Auto Insurance, I urge you to improve your processes and customer care because this level of service is unacceptable.

United is the worst I have ever experienced. They are a bunch of scammers and untrustworthy individuals. They will be closed down soon if enough people decide to protest to have them shut down. I'm currently reaching out to lawyers to sue the whole company. They will not take advantage of me with their lying, deceiving ways. I'm still waiting since November 6 to get my car repaired and no one ever answers the phone. Just insane!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My car was hit by an uninsured driver on November 7th. I did everything I was supposed to do. Lauria Walker was my adjuster and not once has she answered the phone. They then switched my adjuster to Mercedes Martinez, who has also never answered the phone, nor has the supervisor. My car has been in the shop for over a month. An estimate was given and I haven't heard from them since. I've left over 30 voicemails, practically crying for them to call me back. I'm pretty sure this place is a scam; I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemies.

It's been a nightmare trying to communicate with customer service. The agents just hang up or transfer me to numbers that no one answers. Nobody wanted to help me; they are rude and they don't fix my car even though it wasn't my fault. The worst insurance company. I am a current policyholder with this company. It has been two weeks since my car accident, for which I was not at fault. Steven Brown is the adjuster. He spoke with me for the first time last Tuesday; my accident was on 10/5/2024, and he seemed very nonchalant. Since 10/7/2024, I have been trying to contact him and have left several messages, but I have received no response. When I spoke with him last Tuesday, he told me that he would request that my car be towed to the body shop to start repairs. However, nothing has happened. My car is sitting at Copart, and they are telling me that there's no request for my vehicle to be moved to the body shop. Steven told me that my vehicle would be transferred within 24-48 hours; today is 10/21/2024, and my car still has not been moved. I've been trying to contact him still; he doesn’t answer. I have left several voicemails, but there's nothing. This company is a total rip-off.

Wow, wow, wow, I have been waiting for more than a month. I have no car, I am disabled and can't get to my doctor's appointment. The guy who ran the stop sign had this insurance. They towed my truck, and I don't know where they have it. I have been calling and left voicemail with no response. I managed to talk to customer service, and what they told me is that my truck was a total loss, but they haven't picked up the truck from where it is because they are charging too much and they are not willing to pay for the amount they are charging. Now I'm stuck with no car and no response from this insurance company. I'm desperate and don't know what to do; all I do is cry. The guy got charged, by the way, because he ran a stop sign.
