Synovus Reviews
What's Your Rating?
I would prefer to give Synovus a negative rating, however, that option is not available.
Synovus allowed the spoken (slander) or written (libel) words of a liar to cause me harm.
Synovus was told by person or persons unknown that I was involved in criminal activities and that the money earned through these criminal activities was deposited into my account.
Without any investigation, on Thursday, September 21, 2025, Synovus informed me that they no longer wanted a relationship with me.
I say without any investigation because, if even a cursory investigation had been conducted, the source of my deposits would have been known.
I was instructed that I could not withdraw a partial amount. I must withdraw all my money and close the account, or take no money at all that day and obtain my money and close the account on October 1, 2025.
I elected to receive all my money that day and close the account. They then asked for an ID with the address on it I used to open the account.
I informed them that I am a 68-year-old 100% disabled homeless veteran. The address provided was to a home I owned from 2009 to 2024. I told them I used that address because I had used it for so long I did not have a problem remembering it.
This verifiable information made no difference, and they would not give me access to my VA and Social Security Disability deposits.
I returned the following Monday with the police.
No citizen of any country with integrity should be subjected to this type of privilege. The privilege that permits slander or libel and the withholding of deposits without proof of criminal activity should not be tolerated.
The lack of urgency and accountability from Synovus is unacceptable. Every time I contact them, I'm given vague answers or passed off to another department. It honestly feels like they just don't care.
If you're thinking about banking with Synovus, I strongly urge you to reconsider. I would have given minus ten stars if allowed. No one deserves to be treated this way, especially after being a victim of fraud. Do not do business with this so-called bank.
