Georgia's Own Credit Union Reviews
What's Your Rating?
I'm aware that the rating starts at 1.8, which reflects the poor customer service quality. The only reason I haven't switched is that I've been with you for so long and usually don't have problems except when I call customer service. Dear Tiffany, I pray that your day improves and that you don't project your frustrations onto customers. However, I noticed that you seem tired of listening to what they have to say. This is my account, and you should handle it with care, as if it were your own. Your lack of concern was apparent as you sighed over the phone. This is not the way to treat people.
I felt slighted, possibly for racial reasons, but it's all good. I'll continue to take the high road. It is unfortunate that the outsourced help, such as the one provided by Georgia's Own Credit Union, can be so nasty, disgusting, and have such unpleasant attitudes. Perhaps they require etiquette training. This won't deter me from calling about my account if I suspect an issue. Now I see that it might be necessary to have someone who can thoroughly investigate my account and its legitimacy, given that I have had to deal with fraudulent activities as well.
I asked if they could expedite the printing and shipment of the checks and was told that it was not possible.
Basically, I spent quite a bit of time, effort, and money to secure a line of credit that I could not use. I have since looked through all of the paperwork and reviewed the website, and there is no mention that they do not provide wire services for the loan. I guess they never said that they could, but that's pretty much an expectation. When you purchase a car, you assume that the steering wheel is included.
I started complaining about this problem in January 2024. GA Own connected me with a CSR who works with the programmers. I tested the system with her. She and I had contact for a couple of months trying to troubleshoot the problems. I could not continue because nothing was changing; the errors kept happening repeatedly, the CSR did not seem to have any support from GA Own management, and I felt my valuable time was being wasted. I'm not sure what is happening at GA Own, but I think you either need a complete company overhaul or just close your doors and stop making our (your customers) lives harder than they should be. Shame on GA Own Credit Union for forcing me to write this and for posting it in every place I can find on the internet. But someone needs to warn others!
Stay away from Georgia Own, people. They don't care about you or your hard-earned money.
I have a wife and kids, and I live paycheck to paycheck.
It's been over a month now. Sad.
