I have a cancer policy for my father. First, the amount of payment for cancer treatment differs from what is stated on the website, where it says AFLAC pays $300 to several thousand dollars for a Keytruda treatment, but the payout is less than that. It's important to read your specific contract closely. AFLAC employs several methods to delay or deny a claim. When a claim is denied or delayed, the company asks for additional documentation, then often denies the documentation filed. They fail to communicate that the claim is denied or that the paperwork is insufficient. I have had to call them multiple times with additional documentation that they never informed me was needed. I never received an email of the denial, and when I checked the AFLAC website account, the information was not there as claimed. The communication was extremely poor, and delays were frequent. I would not use them for future insurance needs.

Aflac insurance corporation refuses to cancel policies. After months of trying, I cannot get them to stop taking money out of my account.

We have accident insurance coverage and made two claims. They keep lying and saying they didn't get the information and haven't paid us any money. It's the worst insurance, a waste of time and money.

Be watchful. I've signed up to continue my policies (outside my employer) and set up auto payment. They neglect to take the payment and then cancel your policies RIGHT WHEN YOU NEED THEM!

Paid into the accident insurance for a year. My wife broke her wrist, so we submitted a claim that should have been covered. They give you the runaround, they won't let you provide the documents, the customer service in India won't help or call the doctor's office to confirm, and after 4 months of trying to avoid payment, they just denied the claim. Aflac is a total scam; stay away.

I paid a premium to Aflac for a Critical Illness policy since 2010. My husband had an emergency Coronary Artery Bypass Graft. My policy states this is covered for $3,000.00. I submitted the claim with the catheterization report and the surgical report signed by the surgeon. It has been over a week and they have not even reviewed my documents. The auto-response system says I need to submit proof of claim. The Customer Service Representatives tell me it will be another couple of weeks until they even look at it, 7 more business days. Terrible service, terrible coverage.

I submitted a hospital claim on September 23 and still haven't received anything. They claimed they expedited it to see if they could finish it quicker, then they mentioned it would take 5-7 business days. Now the app indicates that my claim is closed. They have given me the runaround for nearly two months. This is the worst company. I will never deal with them again. If I don't receive my payment, I am going to hire a lawyer. They said I was approved and then closed my claim without issuing any payment.

I had Aflac for one year as a secondary insurance to my Medicaid. They paid $0 out toward my bills, applying it all to my deductible. Aflac is as unsatisfactory as Medicaid. I canceled them. I'll put the $90 a month into savings for emergencies. Their customer service barely spoke English, and the connection was horrible. Just an unsatisfactory experience all the way around.

I am dealing with Aflac now as I am trying to recover, and it’s been over a month that I have been out of work due to surgery, and my claim is still being "reviewed." Each time I have spoken with someone, they tell me something different. No one should have to go through this! Please go elsewhere! It's been nothing but stress!

I submitted a hospital indemnity claim on the 15th. They closed it on the 17th, and I still have not received money in my account. They are saying there are issues with the system processing direct deposit claims. Then they can't tell you how long the issue will last. The problem has been ongoing for about two weeks, the worker told me, but you are still promoting it and don't know when the problem will be fixed. You should have a notice on your website that there are direct deposit issues, so customers can decide whether they want to opt for direct deposit or a paper check. Not good customer service!

They didn't pay a legitimate claim even with surgery proof and 3 months of physical therapy for an accident—do not trust them and waste your money. And now, they have a clear data breach. It's criminal and fraudulent.

It's a joke, and not even a funny one. Been over a month on short-term with Aflac, and still no money. I wouldn't waste money on their insurance.

They are absolutely terrible! My husband got cancer; they are supposed to pay for each treatment he receives. It's been a fight from the start, but the more claims we make, the harder it is to get paid! They say they need the UB-40 and make it sound so easy. Nope! Now they want a statement from the doctor saying what is being infused and the charges. Why was that not required four claims ago for the exact same infusion therapy? They make you jump through every hoop imaginable, even when it is plain as day that this is a payable claim. I think they hope you will get tired of fighting and just give up, in my opinion. The representative that sold me the policy has been absolutely zero help. They make it sound so easy and simple when they are giving you the spill about why you need this policy. Trust me, it's not! It actually adds more stress to the situation dealing with them. And good luck calling. The representative on the phone will say one thing and then the denial letter says something completely different. They are cold and not very caring, especially after you wait an hour on the phone to actually speak to someone.

The sales rep was awesome, but the company was horrible to deal with. Was asked to get information, submitted it, and this went on for 4 more four times. Then, they wouldn't let me cancel the policy simply. It was a waste of time and money.

This company should not even exist.
I'm paying $23.00 a week, $112.00 a month. Getting a claim processed with these people is ridiculous. There is too much nonsense for the money being spent. Other insurance companies will only take 5 to 7 working days for results with the proper documents. You will also be able to speak to the adjuster as well.
