I wish I had stayed with Medica Dual Solutions; I received far more benefits with them. What's really frustrating is that I am in desperate need of some really good vitamins, but of course, I don't get to choose the ones I want unless I want to pay for them. Why do I have to choose the ones UCare allows? You provide me with $50, but I can't select the over-the-counter items that would benefit me the most. UCare decides which vitamins are best for me, as if we all came from the same cookie cutter, UCare!

Avoid UCare. When you actually need medication to help you, say, swallow (in my case), they'll deny the medication, then send you down a rabbit hole of appeals and escalations. You can appeal, re-appeal, escalate, and ask for third-party intervention, but the answer will always eventually be "no."

Ucare is supposed to give healthride as long as you call 2 days before your appointment. We'll I called at 4:30 p.m on Friday Sept 22. My appointment is on Tuesday Sept..apparently I can't get a ride scheduled because 4:00 pm is the end of the business day..they close at 5...but 4:00pm is the end..and since it's the end the next busnissday is Monday and thats just too late to get a ride. How ridiculous is that. It makes absolutely no sense.

Terribly Run Company Every step of the way, from getting enrolled, paying premium, getting ID card... has been a hassle. Every time I talk to them they tell me to wait. I wait the required amount of time they say and still nothing has been fixed. I call back and I'm told wait another 10 days. Meanwhile they finally accepted my payment but I have received nothing else. How does this company stay in business?! Get your insurance needs from another company, this one hasn't got a clue!

UCare promises benefits that you will never get. They issue cards for various benefits and they NEVER work. Then you get to spend hours and weeks while their people "escalate" the problem to superiors and in the meantime the benefits expire. Nothing they can do then, folks!!

When my wife switched to Ucare, she did so making sure that our local health providers were in Network. She was assured at every stage that they were and there would be no problems. After going through all the testing (MRI-CTScan, ETC.) and getting a date for treatment, we got a call 2 days before that treatment date saying that our chosen healthcare provider was "in Network," but NOT their surgery center. This meant it wasn't covered. So, we went with another healthcare provider, again making SURE they were "in Network." Yes, we were told, no problem. Then just before the proceedure we were again told that Twin Cties Orthopedic was "in Network" but NOT their surgery center. FRAUD!!!!! We feel lied to and abused. Now with over $2000 already paid out on her personal deductable, we feel stuck with Ucare. But, what good are they if they say you are insured but they won't actually cover the needed proceedures? Again...FRAUD!!!!! If I could give less than one star I certainly would.

At Home COVID TESTs NOT COVERED: Federal Gov says "Starting January 15, private insurers began covering 8 at-home COVID tests per member per month." So much for UCare Advantage Plans. 1/22/2022 CALLED UCARE, TOLD at-home COVID tests NOT COVERED. I purchases test from Walgreens Pharmacy.. WEBSITE: Website crashes and is not available. Today got: "Error 424 - 99dda84f-c310-4c8c-8b4a-4b8eeffea9f8" blank screen.. EYEWEAR: Difficult to submit claim for eye-wear. Given incomplete address on 1st call. Called back complained got correct address. Sent Invoice with attached Visa receipt to UCARE denied claiming no proof of purchase.. However I am looking a exact copy of what was mailed And all information was provided as part of the invoice. Called Ucare agent, I offered to email a PDF of Invoice-Visa receipt. Was told no emails, have mail info to POBOX address again. Appears to me that UCARE is giving people the run around hoping they will get frustrated and not resubmit.. DENTAL: Also, they claim Ucare Dentail, but try to to find a good dentist that accepts Ucare, have not found one in 2 years. PAYMENT PROBLEMS: Paid bill by credit card on WebSite .. After 2 weeks got a notice in the mail .. Said Ucare problems with AmExp cards, Ucare's fault, not my fault... I then got a cancellation letter from Ucare .. I had already sent check when 1st notice came in mail.. Ucare admitted fault with CC processing.. I called many time, eventually Ucare posted check, policy continued. LIMITED SERVICE UCARE: Nice website and good help to signup. Once signed up, limited help and website account functionality. Questions, up to 45+ min on hold .. TODAY: Answer phone quicker, but less than 50/50 chance of getting someone who cares enough to answer questions.. BEWARE: Before signing up, know that is a lower service company once signed up. Try calling customer (not sales) line of Ucare before signing up, and ask a few questions on coverage.

I have just signed up for 2022. Trying to enroll on website to make payment. Have enrolled, then logging in, was told there is an error. I proceeded to attempt to reset password, was told that an administrator would have to unlock. After calling number given, I was transferred once and then given another number. Of course, each time I am listening to the same lengthy menu choices before reaching someone. 50 minutes later I am at a new number and the person refers me to another person who will help me. Unfortunately, this person is not on the line and I am on hold for several minutes. Another rep comes on and within a couple minutes the line disconnects. If you are looking for good customer service, RUN! Do not sign up for UCARE.
