Every step of the way, from getting enrolled, paying premium, getting ID card... has been a hassle. Every time I talk to them they tell me to wait. I wait the required amount of time they say and still nothing has been fixed. I call back and I'm told wait another 10 days. Meanwhile they finally accepted my payment but I have received nothing else. How does this company stay in business?! Get your insurance needs from another company, this one hasn't got a clue!
At Home COVID TESTs NOT COVERED: Federal Gov says "Starting January 15, private insurers began covering 8 at-home COVID tests per member per month." So much for UCare Advantage Plans. 1/22/2022 CALLED UCARE, TOLD at-home COVID tests NOT COVERED. I purchases test from Walgreens Pharmacy.. WEBSITE: Website crashes and is not available. Today got: "Error 424 - 99dda84f-c310-4c8c-8b4a-4b8eeffea9f8" blank screen.. EYEWEAR: Difficult to submit claim for eye-wear. Given incomplete address on 1st call. Called back complained got correct address. Sent Invoice with attached Visa receipt to UCARE denied claiming no proof of purchase.. However I am looking a exact copy of what was mailed And all information was provided as part of the invoice. Called Ucare agent, I offered to email a PDF of Invoice-Visa receipt. Was told no emails, have mail info to POBOX address again. Appears to me that UCARE is giving people the run around hoping they will get frustrated and not resubmit.. DENTAL: Also, they claim Ucare Dentail, but try to to find a good dentist that accepts Ucare, have not found one in 2 years. PAYMENT PROBLEMS: Paid bill by credit card on WebSite .. After 2 weeks got a notice in the mail .. Said Ucare problems with AmExp cards, Ucare's fault, not my fault... I then got a cancellation letter from Ucare .. I had already sent check when 1st notice came in mail.. Ucare admitted fault with CC processing.. I called many time, eventually Ucare posted check, policy continued. LIMITED SERVICE UCARE: Nice website and good help to signup. Once signed up, limited help and website account functionality. Questions, up to 45+ min on hold .. TODAY: Answer phone quicker, but less than 50/50 chance of getting someone who cares enough to answer questions.. BEWARE: Before signing up, know that is a lower service company once signed up. Try calling customer (not sales) line of Ucare before signing up, and ask a few questions on coverage.
