Ocean Harbor Insurance

The insurance company issued a check for the parts and repair of our vehicle that is lower than the estimate provided by the collision center. The check has not been cashed, and no form from the insurance company has been signed because it was for an incorrect amount. From February 5 to March 14, I have yet to receive a callback or an email response from the adjuster, Kenya Joseph, at [email protected]. The company seems to intentionally delay the handling of claims, possibly to see if I will just cash the incorrect check, allowing them to save money. It is a very poor company that I would not recommend for insurance services.

I was with Ocean Harbor for eight years. Each year, my car insurance rates increased. Even when I started working from home and was driving less, the company would not reduce my rates. I began searching for another insurance company. My car insurance had been paid up until the 28th of the month, and I called them on the 12th to cancel, assuming my insurance would remain valid until the 28th since it was already paid for. One week after canceling the insurance, I had a minor accident. I filed a claim with Ocean Harbor the following day and never received a response. One week later, I received a letter stating they would not be covering me for the accident because I had canceled the insurance, and they would not honor the claim. I contacted them and argued that my insurance should be valid until the 28th of that month. They stated they would refund the prorated amount of insurance from the 12th, but the coverage was canceled as of that date. They had not informed me of this when I canceled. Worse, when the individual involved in the accident contacted Ocean Harbor, they were told I wasn't covered, which was reported to the Florida Highway Patrol, and I received a letter from them stating that my driver's license would be suspended for driving without insurance. This is the treatment I received after eight years of paying inflated insurance rates. I would advise staying away from this disreputable company. They treat their clients terribly.

I had a small accident with a person whom I rear-ended, who is insured with Ocean Harbor. When I called Ocean Harbor to make the claim, Myriam Estepa, extension 2744, informed me that their client had opened the insurance that same day and that the case needed further review. Two months later, I called Myriam Estepa again at extension 2744, and she told me the case was still under investigation. I asked her to explain what the problem was and she said they would not fix my car, that if I wanted my car fixed, I should contact my insurance. This person lacks professionalism and ethics, having told me lies on several occasions.

Myriam Estepa, extension 2744, the place where you work should be closed down. What you do is illegal. You should feel ashamed every time you receive payment from the company you work for. I hope you never experience what happened to me. I thank God my situation was not serious.

An uninsured person is likely to be more responsible than this insurer, Ocean Harbor.

Diana at the Palm Bay site was extremely helpful and patient with me. As a new customer, I could say this was a 10/10 service I have not received this in a while.

Don't ignore this review. Clearly, I was involved in a vehicle accident and their insured was at fault. Their insured hit my vehicle on the passenger side and damaged my front panel and door. The lady drove over the white line and then try to say it was my fault. The officer told her she was at fault and clearly identified the way she hit me it was her fault. Because I took great pictures, I was able to have a close and shut case. But I new this company was going to play games. The accident was August 2021 and guess what I just receive my deductible and rental payment May 2023. I can honestly tell you put the claim through your insurance company because Ocean Harbor is not going to make a decision any time soon. They do not take any accountability for their insured's action. I allowed my insurance company to subrogate the claim. You see how long it took. I don't understand why the state allows this company to be in existence. The funny part I know how this company works. I was an employee of them and they definitely do not have good practices.

Don’t ignore the reviews please, I was warned the first day when I told someone what insurance I had, I gave them the benefit of the doubt before they charged me 11 days early from my card money I did not even have I don’t know how or why they are still in business this got to stop if someone can do something about this

I've been waiting for an adjuster over a month now. No one calls back, everyone who's dealing with my case makes a mistake. I'm sick and tired of waiting!!!!!

Was given this insurance when buying my car and told I could switch it later. Switched to usaa after about a week. Payment would have been over 300$ a month when all other companies were offering similar or more coverage for around 100-200$. Charged 400$ to cancel, threatened with collections the very first time they informed us of our bill (not sure how we owed 400$ for 1 week of coverage if 1 month would have been 300$). Dealing with this company is also a nightmare. Good luck finding any numbers for anything other than setting up insurance or making a claim. Would give negative stars if possible. Steer clear of this insurance company if at all possible.

5/10/2022 their policyholder rear ended me which caused my car to hit a truck in front of me. I’ve been waiting on a “estimate” until yesterday they told me my car is deemed a total loss and they’ll pay me $533 if I give them my car . They totally lied from the start . They said they would take care of the damages done to my car and now nothing . They need to shut this company down.. they are crooks ! STARS -0

This is the worst company in the world, one of its policyholders caused the accident, since August 2021 I still have not been compensated with the damages that your client caused, I do not understand how the government allows companies like these to exist

Been waiting on an adjuster to call us for weeks now to go look at our car for repairs! No one return any calls from this Company.

0 Stars. Police report stated their policy holder was at fault for accident but it's been 3 months and they have not even had an adjuster look at the damage. They are not returning our calls anymore. Horrible!!!

If you have this insurance company. If you have to deal with this insurance company. Because of someone who hit you. Or as your own insurance company . My heart goes out to you. They will dismiss you. They will ignore you. They will avoid you. They will lie to you. They will take the maximum amount of time and then some to reimburse you.
You will suffer for being affiliated with them. And you will regret. You will be angry. You will be treated unfairly.

I have been trying to contact the insurance more than 20 different days between January and April 2021, to get updates about my claim. Nobody in the customer service was able to provide me any information, or just did not see the claim, and nobody in the claim department was picking up the phone DURING THESE 20 DAYS DURING BUSINESS HOURS!!! I left voicemails and email with NO RESPONSE. I have not received any letter concerning the claim. They have put me on a phone call loop where nobody knows about the claim. Good luck having such "insurance" to help you during difficult times. Give yourself a favor and take more reputable insurance like Geico.
