I have never had an issue with IBC. No matter where I went in Texas, even when I worked in toxic workplaces, the customer service was consistently courteous and helpful when I entered IBC.So it was at the Alamo Ranch Branch. I had the most patient and helpful banker (T. S.), which is a testament to IBC's care in hiring the right candidates to be the face of IBC. That's why I have stayed with IBC for almost 30 years. This bank is off the charts terrible! They overdrafted me, and I had only used my debit card. I checked my balance; it said there was money in there, so I bought groceries without going over the stated balance, and then I got a bunch of overdraft fees. I was out of work and called and begged them not to close my account as my disability pay from the VA was going to that account, and it's an absolute nightmare to change a direct deposit with the VA. They told me they would keep it open, but they closed it. Then they told me I had been turned in for collections, and I had called and we agreed to let my disability pay off my negative balance if I didn't find a job. So then I was told they had closed my account in December of 2024, and I had a 668 dollar bill with collections. So now I find out they did take my money until the debt was paid off, and then they closed my account without even notifying me!? They are very dishonest, and if I were you, I would stay away from them. If you are banking there, withdraw your money and find another bank!

I presented them with legal Power of Attorney documents signed by a notary on behalf of my relative. IBC Bank did not honor it. Instead, they closed the account and returned the deposited money to the sender. None of them knew what they were talking about either.

No matter how long you have been a customer, all checks are placed on a five-day hold. They clear larger items first, regardless of whether it was the last transaction made, resulting in a bunch of overdrafts for smaller transactions. They need to be reported.

IBC Bank is the worst at the bottom of the barrel in existence. If you don't have to bank here, don't—run and fast! They have the worst customer service. Aside from that, you can't transfer outside their bank. Every bank in existence does bank-to-bank transfers, except IBC. Their customer service is terrible; you'd think they're doing you a favor. Well, yesterday was the final straw. I went to the HEB in Rio Grande City, TX to do a wire transfer (because I was already there shopping), and the manager, Juan Garza, stood over the employee the entire time. It was awkward as he crossed every 't' and dotted every 'i.' Sure enough, my wire transfer failed. I called this morning; they can't give me a clear answer as to why my wire transfer failed. They need me to go back and redo all the paperwork! Terrible experience! If you can bank somewhere else, do it! This bank is the worst in America. I bank with USAA, PNC Bank, Charles Schwab, and Chase. I would give it a negative rating if I could.

This bank is the worst ever! Do not choose IBC Bank! They are so unprofessional! I moved to Dallas to study for my Master's and received payment from my internship work into my IBC account, and they didn't even realize it! They never respond to calls, and they take ages to solve tiny issues. They are so dumb!

I have had a account here for years. One day I over drafted. I put money in my account the next day to put my balance back in the green. It took them 2 days to finally clear the check that I deposited. Then they said they were "holding" $440 which, even though I have a positive account balance, I still have negative funds available. They said it would be fixed by midnight. The next day it still wasn't fixed. My account has now been negative for 4 days. As soon as they finally get around to fixing my account I WILL be closing my account. Terrible bank

I only have to keep my checkings acc. Just because my wife has all her accaunts set up for direct deposits. And we are together in more than one account. I hope the main person would check this review and get this person out of there. This is the second time she gives me stinky time..!

All expenses on the account match. However, my balance never does. I check transactions for 6 to 12 months, all posted, so how are we getting different balances? I believe they are dipping into the initial starting balance and playing with numbers, causing overdraft for customers. When I ask IBC, they can't provide me with an answer. I'm closing my checking account. I've never had any problems with Chase checking. For the past 8 years, Chase and I have balanced to the penny. Beware! IBC is cheating customers!

I have a checking account with them and had some fraudulent charges and they gave me money back for them and over a month later took the back out of my checking account and I have called the fraud department several times to handle the issue but they keep closing the case after 48 hours, which is the time they tell you to give to get the fax and then say they never received the fax I have sent the same fax four different time. Will never recommend this bank to anyone
